Losing a life partner is incredibly heartbreaking. After such a loss, you might find yourself reminiscing about all the beautiful memories you made together – going on your first date, exchanging wedding vows, raising children, and growing together over the years. For older adults, coping with the loss of a spouse can be even more challenging, and living alone can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness. Read our blog to learn more: https://bit.ly/3KS8Wob

The 2024 Cost of Dying Report by empathy came out recently, and it is chock-full of eye-opening statistics about the effects of losing a loved one broken down by varying demographic groups. Just a few that stood out: 1. Average bereavement leave is just 5.6 days. Grief experts recommend at least 20 days leave, and even that doesn't feel like enough to many grievers. 2. 89% of respondents had an increase in anxiety in completing tasks after the loss of a loved one, whether or not they had executor duties. 3. The average duration of work impacts for executors was 19 months. What do you think about these statistics? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
