Steps towards more sustainable construction are taken in cooperation: Uponor Blue pipes, which utilize renewable raw materials, selected for the regional renovation of the HSY (Helsinki Region Environmental Services HSY) water supply network in Espoo reduce the carbon footprint of pipeline installations by 70 percent compared to traditional plastic pipes. The carbon footprint of the innovative Blue pipes has been significantly reduced by using raw material for pipe manufacturing, more than half of which comes from renewable, certified raw material sources. The solution has been developed in collaboration with Borealis, one of the world's leading suppliers of circular polyolefin solutions. #blueisthenewgreen

The water supply and sewage networks in the district of Itäranta, located in the "Garden City" of Tapiola in Greater Helsinki, Finland, were in dire need of renovation. Additionally, its #stormwater management system required urgent attention. To tackle these challenges head-on, Uponor Blue pipes were manufactured and supplied, using ISCC PLUS-certified #Bornewables™ polypropylene (PP) and Bornewables™ polyethylene (PE) PE100-RC (resistant to cracking) grades to ensure durability for this extensive project. #KeepDiscovering #EnablingLifesEssentials #EverMinds
