As I reflect on my decade-long journey with Stella May Contracting, Inc., I'm struck by the delicate balance we've maintained between honoring our fundamentals and embracing the future. In an industry as foundational as heavy civil construction, it's easy to stick to what's tried and true, yet as we all know true excellence comes from blending time-tested practices with cutting-edge innovations. Here's what this looks like for us ⏩ We've grown to over 275 employees, each bringing unique skills and perspectives. Our commitment to their growth, diversity and education is expanding as well. We've ventured into new territories, like our recent foray into electric overhead work. Diversification keeps us agile and relevant. As the largest minority-owned heavy civil construction company in the region and a proud employer through the Civics Works program, we're creating opportunities across Baltimore, Washington, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. While we value traditional skills, we're also integrating new technologies to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality. The key to our success? Remembering that at its core, our business is about people - our team, our clients, and our community. We're not just building infrastructure; we're building futures. As we continue on this path of growth, I'm excited to see how we'll further blend the old with the new, with our mission to "safely serve and shine" at the forefront. I'm excited for new opportunities. #growthmindset #serveandshine

We're kicking off our celebration of Infrastructure Week with Caltrans’ American River Bridge Rehabilitation Project in Sacramento! This essential artery was beginning to display signs of wear — the kind that comes from years of faithful service. Recognizing the importance of timely care, Caltrans mobilized a project team to rejuvenate this key connection. Beyond the immediate need for rehabilitation, this project embodies a forward-thinking approach to urban planning. The introduction of a multi-use bike/pedestrian path as part of the bridge's redesign aligns with Sacramento's 2016 Bicycle Master Plan, bridging the gap between downtown and eastern Sacramento. This path will provide safe, accessible connections to medical centers, employment opportunities, and activity hubs, promoting a healthier, more sustainable mode of transportation. At the heart of this project is our dedication to quality management. With Atlas' on-call Quality Assurance (QA), source inspection, materials engineering, and construction inspection services, we ensure that every aspect of this project meets the highest standards of excellence. #InfrastructureWeek #UnitedForInfrastructure #Connectivity #Mobility #QualityAssurance #QualityManagement #MaterialsEngineering #ConstructionInpsection #UrbanPlanning #SustainableFuture

What could be your impact today? As a bluecollar worker, what you do today could impact 1 person or it could impact millions - On a small scale, what you do today has a direct impact on your family, your coworkers, your company, and yourself. On a large scale, what you’re building may have an impact on literally millions of people - When you are the guy building infrastructure: roads, bridges, utilities, etc. you are building products that the whole nation uses. If you’re paving a highway, countless people will drive on your product, they’ll appreciate the smoothness or they’ll curse your shitty tie in - What you do today: your attitude, your decisions, your quality of work, and the example you set for others could affect a lot of people. How will you act? - Go kill this week 🤘 📸: Evans & Associates paving crew on I35 - #construction #bluecollar #betterdirtworld #asphalt #heavyequipment #dirtyanddriven
