Let’s give it up for the 10 participants on our URG HighRisers who took part in the Big Climb at Columbia Center a couple of weeks ago! Each climber conquered 69 floors, 1,311 steps and 788 feet of vertical elevation to raise funds for blood cancer research. Since taking over management of Columbia Center in 2015, URG has raised more than $45,000 for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through its Big Climb events, including more than $4,100 this year. There’s still time to donate to this year’s Big Climb Seattle fundraiser. I’m very excited to share with you that my daughter Isabella is a part of the 2024 Student Visionaries of the Year campaign and over the next 7 weeks, she will be working to raise money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their mission to find a cure for blood cancers. It’s an honor to be a part of this outstanding group of students, but an even larger honor to be able to work for the patients, survivors and their families. The work that LLS is doing is changing the lives of the 1.3 million Americans living with blood cancer. To learn more about why this cause is so important, watch this video: https://lnkd.in/enjJRssY There are a few ways in which we are asking for your help and support in our fundraising efforts: Donate via Isa’s personal fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/eJs-Tw-v · Repost and share the message & fundraising link with your contacts via email or social media · Help Isa secure corporate support (Corporate sponsorships are available starting at $10,000 and Program Ads for our Grand Finale can be purchased starting at $250) Thank you for your generosity and support. Your donation truly makes a difference and with your help, we’re one step closer to a cure for blood cancer. #donate #dogood #charity #nonprofit #leukemia #lymphoma #bloodcancer #cancer #cure #findthecure #survivors #LLS #cancerresearch #cancersucks #cancerawareness #hope #findacure #give #giving #support #hope #standuptocancer #gogold #americancancersociety #childhoodcancerawareness #childrenshealth #pediatriccancer #leusm #lymsm #chemo #chemotherapy #cancerfree #cancerfighter #cancersupport #treatment #curecancer #cancertreatment #love #beatcancer #cancercare #awareness #cancercommunity #cancerprevention #healthylifestyle

It will take a lot to cure cancer. Today, I ask you to support my fundraising effort for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. LLS has spent $1.7 billion on research so far, and 70% of recently approved breakthrough medications have been supported by LLS grants. In addition, LLS works every day to improve the lives of patients and families from diagnosis through survivorship. Because for those facing blood cancer, the diagnosis is only part of the problem. There are practical challenges, like finding the right doctors and getting to appointments. There are emotional challenges –feelings of depression, anxiety, and isolation. And there are financial challenges, from paying for care and traveling to the clinic, to missing out on work. LLS offers co-pay and travel advances, education and information services, and leads public policy initiatives to keep costs manageable. Whatever amount you choose to donate - it WILL HELP support our mission to spread more hope and save more lives. Donate here: https://lnkd.in/gvjsbK8t

My awesome friend and fellow college classmate - Raven Storm and her team at Mid-West Family Madison graciously donated 2 Willie Nelson Tickets to my Bracket Winner! For those that do not know, I am running for Visionary of the Year for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Wisconsin Chapter and this March Madness Bracket is my first event! What do you have to do? 1. Sign Up for my bracket challenge (link in the comments). - Password: beatcancer 2. Use your name and regularly checked email 3. Fill Out Bracket 4. Donate on March 21st (Day the Campaign Officially Starts) As the campaign does not officially start until the day the games start - donations will be collected that day - March 21st. It's a suggested donation to my LLS Campaign of $20 for 1 Bracket and $30 for 2 Brackets (you can always donate more if you graciously choose 😉). More information on that to follow! Hey all, I don't often reach out to my LinkedIn Network for personal reasons but I feel strongly that this should be shared with you all. I am part of a team trying to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by May 17th. If you can support in anyway please donate. Every dollar counts and is so appreciated and I would be so grateful. https://lnkd.in/gUcHrsuD Our motivation behind this campaign is this amazing young man, whom I have gotten to know over the years. Koda Woodall, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia just before turning two years old. Koda is our “WHY” and how we got involved with this amazing organization. Our team has taken on the monumental task of raising life-saving funds, which will go directly to LLS to support its longstanding goal: a world without blood cancers. Over 70 years ago, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) was founded by a family that lost its son to leukemia—a disease that was considered fatal at the time. Since its founding, LLS has evolved into the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to fighting blood cancers, pioneering many of today’s most innovative cancer treatments and therapies. Despite our tremendous progress, one simple fact remains: nearly 50,000 individuals lose their battle against cancer every year in the U.S. alone, and, unfortunately, some of those individuals are children. There are a TWO ways you can support our fundraising efforts: 1. Make a tax-deductible donation to my online fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/gUcHrsuD 2. Help me secure a corporate sponsorship (Sponsorships range from $5,000 to $50,000, and sponsors receive Grand Finale benefits) I am honored to be supporting this effort and Koda. I appreciate your time and anticipated support of LLS’s mission to find cures for blood cancers and help families see “their” Kodas grow up and live full lives. Until there is a cure, Marci Schmidt & Darin Rohead darinrohead@gmail.com To hear more about Koda’s story please view our video at https://lnkd.in/gXcsT3W4 #lls #bloodcancer #ICDI
