Inspired by the e-book from Tifa Studio, which they referred to as the magical formula and exemplified design elements, I conducted facade studies with the prompt "facade of building + metabolist + interactive architecture + retro-futurism architectural style + Zaha Hadid style + wood materials + composite materials + brise-soleil + Vray rendering + facade elevation + mountains + dim light". My workflow started by creating this magical formula and using the AI patterns feature in Krea.ai. Then, I took the outputs from there and used the Outpainting tool in Prome.ai, initially with the same magical formula, and then utilized the Upscale tool. Why Note-taking is the Sketching of Studying In architecture, sketching a building while observing it firsthand creates a deeper connection than snapping a quick photo. Sketching forces you to slow down and notice details - the curve of a cornice or the play of light - that quick photography often overlooks. The same is true for studying for the ARE or any exam. Many rely on highlighting, marking passages in neon yellow, thinking it aids retention. But there’s a key difference between highlighting and note-taking - just as there’s a difference between photographing a building and sketching it. When you sketch, you’re not just copying a structure; you’re interpreting it, focusing on key elements. Similarly, note-taking requires you to actively engage with material. Writing notes helps you distill and organize information in your own words, deepening your understanding. Highlighting, on the other hand, can be passive. You might highlight without truly grasping the content, much like photographing a building without really seeing it. Sketching and note-taking push you to capture the essence. You filter out distractions, focusing on what matters most. This distillation process improves memory and understanding. Studies show that drawing or writing out information helps retain it better than simply reading or highlighting. Both practices force you to slow down, which is valuable in a fast-paced world. Whether studying or observing a building, taking time to reflect leads to deeper mastery.
