URETEK Baltic’s Post

Why are stable floors in the factory so essential? For the safety and keeping the factory running, of course. Uneven or subsided floors can lead to dangerous vibrations, which will affect the accuracy of machinery, damage equipment, and disrupt the entire production process. Even leading to accidents and factory shutdown. 🚩 Customer´s problem: URETEK Baltic was approached by a wood furniture manufacturer who had a problem with subsided concrete floor slabs. On top of the slabs were two automatic edge banding machines which weight up to several tons. The subsided soil under the concrete slabs caused a dangerous vibration. This vibration can cause the machines to lose calibration and stop the production process. 💡 Using an alternative method to solve the problem would have required at least a month to complete. During this time, factory operations would have been stopped, leading to financial losses for the customer and necessitating a full reorganization of the factory. ✅ Result: URETEK Baltic engineering team offered a solution for the customer to solve this problem. URETEK sustainable geopolymer technology was used to reinforce the soil under the concrete slabs and stabilise the floor. The work process was completed in a day without disrupting the factory's operations. #uretekbaltic #geotechnicalengineering #soilstabilisation #construction #casestudy #innovation
