Hello connections! 🌟 🚀 Excited to share my recent internship experience at Eppendorf India Private Limited! During this incredible journey, I had the opportunity to dive deep into advanced molecular biology techniques and expand my skill set. 🔬 I mastered essential pipetting techniques, including aspiration, dispensing, reverse pipetting, and pre-wetting. These skills are crucial for ensuring accuracy and precision in laboratory work. 🧬 I also explored DNA extraction methods, comparing the CTAB and Phenol-Chloroform protocols. The CTAB method proved highly effective for extracting DNA from plant tissues like carrots, thanks to its specificity for polysaccharide-rich samples. Meanwhile, the Phenol-Chloroform method delivered high-purity DNA, although it required more intensive handling and safety measures. ✨ I observed the meticulous process of pipette calibration, ensuring that the instruments deliver precise volumes every time. This attention to detail is vital for maintaining the integrity of experimental results. 📦 Additionally, I got an insider look at the logistics behind Eppendorf's operations. I visited the warehouse where instruments are received from Germany and then distributed to various customers across India. This seamless supply chain ensures that top-quality equipment reaches laboratories swiftly and efficiently. 💡 One of the highlights of my internship was handling various types of manual and automatic pipettes. I worked with single-channel and multi-channel manual pipettes, which are ideal for standard laboratory tasks. I also got hands-on experience with electronic pipettes, which offer enhanced precision and ease of use for repetitive pipetting tasks. 🛠️ Furthermore, I had the opportunity to work with a range of sophisticated instruments, including Eppendorf's renowned centrifuges and spectrophotometers. These instruments are essential for numerous applications in molecular biology and biotechnology. 🔥 I also handled the cutting-edge X40 and X50a Thermal Cyclers. These advanced devices are crucial for PCR, enabling the amplification of DNA sequences with high efficiency and accuracy. #Internship #MolecularBiology #DNAExtraction #Biotechnology #Eppendorf #Pipetting #CTAB #PhenolChloroform #LabSkills #Research #FutureScientist #SupplyChain #PipetteCalibration #ThermalCyclers #LaboratoryInstruments

🌟 Major Throwback to My Internship Days at Yashoda Hospital! 🌟 Looking back, I can't help but reminisce about the amazing experience I had during my internship at Yashoda Hospital. It was a time filled with immense learning and exploration. One of the most memorable tasks was preparing my internship report. 📝 We were required to document a major biomedical equipment, and after diving deep into various fascinating technologies, I chose to focus on the remarkable "HIPEC" equipment. 🤓 HIPEC stands for Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy, a groundbreaking two-step procedure used to treat certain cancers in the abdomen. First, cancerous tumors are surgically removed. Then, heated chemotherapy drugs are directly applied inside the abdomen, targeting and eliminating any remaining cancerous cells. 🦠🔥 The intricacy and effectiveness of this procedure left me in awe. The entire process of learning about HIPEC, from understanding its medical significance to documenting its technical aspects, was incredibly fascinating. 🌐 It wasn't just an educational task; it was an adventure into the world of cutting-edge medical technology. The combination of surgery and chemotherapy, and the use of heat to enhance treatment efficacy, was simply mind-blowing. 💡 I had so much fun diving into this project, and the knowledge I gained was invaluable. The experience solidified my interest in biomedical engineering and gave me a profound appreciation for the innovations in medical technology. 🚀✨ Reflecting on those days fills me with joy and pride. It was a pivotal moment in my career, one that I will always cherish. 🏥❤️ #InternshipMemories #BiomedicalEngineering #HIPEC #YashodaHospital
