The SD11487 is a half bridge configuration with two 1200V 12mΩ SiC MOSFETs. Also included in the module are two freewheeling 1200V SiC Schottky diodes in parallel with the MOSFETs and an integrated NTC temperature sensor. Continuous drain current is specified at 95A.With operating temperatures of -55°C to 175°C, the SD11487 is designed for the most demanding applications such as down hole exploration; space; and avionics. The hermetically sealed copper package combined with the Alumina Nitride direct bond copper substrate provide excellent thermal conductivity as well as case isolation. The integrated temperature sensing enables high level temperature protection.

https://lnkd.in/gVe6MPim i often heard in my reviews of design and process risk evaluation efforts that my experience with all these failures modes that these are not common. see the table in the article.i have seen before . some examples of mine listed below are from about a decade ago: a. paschen's law and wire arcing from wire nicked during process of stripping of insulation showed their weakness. b. the emphasis on proper selection of connector and cable wire esp for extreme shock and thermal environments , hot and cold, something has kept me and my friends awake. c. one last point on Paschen's law. tin whiskers formed on lead free avionics can and do cause electrical shorts in space env. seen for third stage fight events. my big concern is , @ the end what amd how to capture the lessons learned and how to not forget those. Or, as someone suggested to me recently " lessons learned are overvalued, each team must learn these Over Again" Do you agree? #reliability #aerospace
