The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Temporary Emergency Power Team has completed the installation of two emergency generators at the City of Hendersonville Wastewater Treatment Facility following Hurricane Helene. The Temporary Emergency Power Team consists of Soldiers from the 249th Engineer Battalion - Prime Power, USACE civilian personnel, and private contractors. Multiple generators were installed yesterday throughout Western, NC to assist communities with critical power needs. USACE is supporting Mission Assignments from FEMA including National Activation, Regional Activations, Temporary Emergency Power, Infrastructure Assessment, and Debris Management/Oversight in affected communities.
