The online CCC Common Core was the most atrocious block of instruction I have ever received. Modules were broken, the doctrine archaic, and the delivery childish. The poorly animated “lecturing MAJs” made the course feel like elementary school in the early 00s. My peers unilaterally agree that the online CCC was an insufferable waste of time and resources and we gained absolutely nothing from it. One day of actual in-person CCC recapping Common Core was 100x more useful than the online modules.

I recognize the importance of innovating and modernizing our learning culture, but we must not forget that our focus is on people. The CCC provides a valuable opportunity for officers to come together, share their experiences, and further develop their leadership skills.
