Do you have an anniversary coming up? Celebrate it with stories. (I bet you knew I was going to say that! 😀 ) But it's true isn't it? We hear the best stories at some sort of ritual: a wedding, a birthday, a funeral, an anniversary. We laugh, we cry, we connect and we remember what's important. It's no different for organisations. Anniversaries and other milestones are amazing opportunities to revitalise your brand. Last year we loved digging into a truly unique 30th anniversary origin story with Living My Way, an Australian disability service. It's a cracker of a story told via many, many voices. It’s still delivering rich (and unexpected) benefits long after it appeared. This is what the launch of that project looked, and felt like. Big thanks to all the storytellers who were so generous and patient. And Living My Way Limited We all learnt so much. Do you have an anniversary or important milestone coming up? Yes? Download a copy of their anniversary story booklet to get a glimpse of what’s possible. It’s inspiring, beautiful and you'll get lots of ideas. Steal from the best, I say! (The link is in the comments) DM me if you'd like to know more about how to unleash the story-love this year! #originstory #storytellingforbusiness #anniversarycelebration #milestone

Celebrating Father’s Day. Father’s Day bring different emotions to all of us. Happy memories and sad memories at times. My Dad was my hero, even though he is nolonger with us, l still celebrate him. Father’s Day is a special occasion dedicated to honoring the men who have played pivotal roles in our lives. It’s a day to recognise the contributions of fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have provided love, guidance, and support. Father’s Day has a rich history that dates back over a century. The idea for Father’s Day is often credited to Sonora Smart Dodd, who was inspired by the newly established Mother’s Day. Dodd wanted to honor her own father, a Civil War veteran who single-handedly raised six children. The first Father’s Day was celebrated on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington. It wasn’t until 1972 that President Richard Nixon signed it into law as a permanent national holiday in the United States. Fathers wear many hats: they are providers, protectors, teachers, and role models. Their influence is profound, shaping the character and values of their children. A father’s love and guidance help build the foundation upon which children develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of security. In today’s world, the role of a father is evolving. More dads are taking on active roles in parenting, from attending school events to sharing household responsibilities. This shift not only benefits the children but also fosters a more balanced and supportive family. Father’s Day is also a time for us as fathers to reflect on our own journey. It’s an opportunity to appreciate the joys and challenges of fatherhood and to acknowledge the impact we have on our children’s lives. Being a father is a lifelong commitment filled with ups and downs, but it’s also one of the most rewarding roles a man can have. As we celebrate Father’s Day, let’s take a moment to honour and appreciate the fathers and father figures who have made a difference in our lives. Their love, sacrifice, and dedication deserve recognition and gratitude. Whether through words, actions, or gestures, let’s show them how much they are valued and loved. Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads out there! #menshealth #mensmentalhealth #reachout #suicideawareness #suicideprevention

🤗 A gentle reminder to our road ke heroes who do "unnecessary herogiri" on the 31st celebration. This is an illustration we created for the New Year's Eve celebration, as a reminder for those who find it cool to be drunk, create a nuisance, and perform stunts on the roads every 31st, thereby endangering the public, thinking of themselves as heroes. Maturity lies in realizing that true heroism is staying at home with your family and friends, and spending quality time with them! 🙌 --------- #pinatadigital #socialawareness #awareness #newyear #newyear2024 #newyearcelebrations #friendsandfamily #socialresponsibility #socialcare #socialchange #responsibilitymatters #yearendcelebration #happynewyear #awareness #socialcause #advertisingandmarketing #socialmediaforbusiness #instagramgrowthhacks #adscampaign #adsoftheworld #illustration #illustrationoftheday

Yesterday my Emerge California sisters and I graduated, completing six months of high-quality intensive training in how to run for office, win, and lead. We developed the sisterhood, solidarity and self-confidence for public life in a misogynistic, racist society. We learned we are enough, we are more than enough, that our greatest strength is to be ourselves, share our truths, show up for each other, and if at first we don't succeed, pick each other back up and try again. We also learned all the aspects of successful campaigns: fundraising, operations, messaging, tactics, staffing, communications, endorsements, etc. We will run for office not to be something but to do something. To represent the people, not the powerful, and make change for the people. If you identify as a woman and are interested in running for office I highly recommend Emerge. Happy to answer any questions you may have. If you identify as a woman and are interested in developing sisterhood, I highly recommend coming to the Interracial Sisterhood Retreat July 18-20 in San Francisco co-facilitated by Rozella (Rozie) Kennedy and me. Happy to answer any questions you may have. #unitewomen #endracism #interracialsisterhood #interracialsolidarity #EmergeCalifornia

I’ve expressed my love for Ancestry numerous times, and it’s no secret that I'm a proud advocate for the meaningful work we do. One initiative particularly close to my heart is Feel Good Friday, where we share customer success stories across the company, celebrating how Ancestry has touched their lives. Today, I took the initiative to collect these stories myself, and even with just a brief 5-minute search, I was deeply moved by the impact we have. While I can't share all the details, here are snippets of the powerful connections made possible through Ancestry: 🎉 A Birthday Reborn: One customer, an adoptee, always faced her birthday with mixed emotions. This year, thanks to Ancestry, she found and reunited with her biological sister. For the first time, her birthday was not a reminder of loss but a celebration of newfound wholeness. 🌍 Cross-Continental Connection: Another customer was able to find and meet her biological family, tracing roots from NYC to Ireland. Her gratitude towards Ancestry for bridging such vast distances and bringing her family together was truly touching. 🏞 Journey of Discovery: A heritage tour, inspired by Ancestry’s insights, led another customer to explore his family’s past. The most startling discovery? One of his ancestors was hanged during the Salem witch trials, adding a poignant chapter to his family story. These stories aren't just success metrics; they are real lives changed, bonds formed, and histories uncovered. I'm thrilled to be part of a team that facilitates such profound human connections. #LoveAncestry #FeelGoodFriday #CustomerSuccess

Today's Positive Thought - Kaleidoscope of Fatherhood Reflecting on May's vibrant colors, how can fathers cultivate a more inclusive and accepting environment within my family? This Is The Thing: May is a colorful month that reminds us of the value of diverse perspectives in our world. In the realm of fatherhood, this diversity shapes the experiences and approaches of dads across different cultures and backgrounds. Embracing these diverse perspectives enriches family relationships, much like the many colors of May brighten up the world. #FatherhoodJourney Being a good dad is more than just providing for your kids; it's about really getting involved in their diverse world. Each kid is unique, with their own experiences, interests, and challenges. A good dad appreciates and celebrates this diversity, nurturing their individuality while teaching them values like empathy, respect, and understanding. Just like the colors of May blend together to create beautiful landscapes, a dad's ability to embrace diverse perspectives creates harmony and unity in the family. #DiversityInParenthood In a world that often emphasizes conformity, being a good father means championing inclusivity and acceptance. By fostering an environment where differences are celebrated rather than shunned, fathers can empower their children to navigate the complexities of the world with confidence and compassion. Just as May's vibrant colors illuminate even the darkest of corners, embracing diversity in fatherhood brightens the path towards a more inclusive and harmonious society. #InclusiveParenting Remember to take care of yourself, stay healthy, and have a wonderful Thursday! Happy Father’s Day! As we celebrate Father’s Day today, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the important role fathers play in our lives and society. 🌟👨👧👦 A Brief History of Father’s Day: Father’s Day, celebrated on the third Sunday of June in many countries, has a rich history. The first known Father’s Day celebration took place on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington, initiated by Sonora Smart Dodd. Inspired by Mother’s Day, Dodd wanted to honor her father, a Civil War veteran and single parent who raised six children. After much effort, the idea gained popularity, and in 1972, President Richard Nixon signed Father’s Day into law as a permanent national holiday in the United States. The Role of Fathers in Shaping Society: Fathers play a critical role in shaping society. They provide not only financial support but also emotional stability, guidance, and moral direction. A father’s influence extends beyond the home, impacting community values and future generations. Fathers who are present and engaged help foster a sense of security and confidence in their children, encouraging them to become responsible and compassionate adults. The contributions of fathers are vast and varied. They teach resilience, instill discipline, and model integrity. Fathers often provide a unique perspective, helping to balance the nurturing influence of mothers with their own brand of support and encouragement. As we honor fathers today, let’s remember the vital role they play in our lives and communities. Their strength, love, and commitment are pillars upon which strong, healthy societies are built. Wishing all the wonderful fathers out there a very happy and fulfilling Father’s Day! 🎉💙 #FathersDay #History #Family #Community #Leadership #Inspiration

🎁🔄 Ah, National Re-Gifting Day - the unofficial holiday that gets a chuckle out of me. It's a day that celebrates a cheeky yet practical tradition many of us are guilty of but won't admit – re-gifting! Let me share a little secret: during my adventures in downsizing and decluttering homes, I’ve stumbled upon closets brimming with gifts waiting for their second act. These 'gifting closets' often belonged to lovely souls who have since passed, leaving behind treasures that never found their moment to shine. There's an art to finding a new home for that well-meant but oh-so-not-you present, isn't there? It's a dance of gratitude, practicality, and a smidge of mischief – all wrapped in festive paper. But here’s the twist – what if we re-gifted with intention? Imagine passing on a cherished item to someone who'd truly appreciate its value. It's sustainability with a heart, the essence of giving renewed. So, let’s embrace National Re-Gifting Day with a wink and a smile. Tell me, what’s the most memorable item you’ve ever re-gifted or received as a re-gift? And if you're looking at a gift right now thinking, “Who on earth would wear/use/enjoy this?”, remember, I’m just a call away to help you discreetly find a new home for it where it will be cherished. Happy National Re-Gifting Day, everyone! Let's spread joy by giving gifts a second chance at making someone's day special. 🎀✨ #WayMakerDownsizingandMoveManagement #WayMaker #itsathing #servingseniorsandtheirfamilies #transitionservices #movemanagers #seniormovemanagers #downsizing #rightsizing #declutter #sortingsessions #packing #movingday #unpacking #newhomesetup #organizing #floorplans #salesofpossessions #estatesales #onlineauctions #servingnorthatlanta #servingnorthgeorgia #nasmm #NationalReGiftingDay #SustainableGiving #SecondChances #JoyfulGifting
