Where we you when the world stopped turning? 23 years ago, America experienced the worst attack on US soil in our country's history. On that day, all eyes were focused on us. On that day, in the midst of tragedy and pure evil, we came together as a nation to show solidarity, love, and compassion. On 9/11/2001, nearly 3,000 people died, including: • 343 firefighters, EMTs, and Paramedics • 23 NYPD officers • 37 Port Authority Police Officers • 184 people at the Pentagon • 40 people who died on Flight 93 in Pennsylvania • Thousands of other people who woke up that morning not knowing what would happen in just a few short hours Since that day, over 45,000 first responders and others who were in the World Trade Center area have been diagnosed with cancer or a disease that has been directly linked to the their exposures on 9/11. There have now been just as many deaths related to 9/11 illnesses than were killled on that terrible day. Let's continue to NEVER FORGET what happened that day. Let's continue to NEVER FORGET the lives of those who died, as well as those who continue to suffer. Let's continue to NEVER FORGET how we came together as ONE NATION on September 12th. We will NEVER FORGET! #PatriotsDay #September11 #911 #FDNY #NYPD #WTC #WorldTradeCenter #NYC #UnitedStatesOfAmerica #USA #America

Habibti 💔💔💔 I can't imagine what is going on in her little heart and mind. How can we expect these children to live after this? We owe them all the love and healing we can give. We owe them an apology every second for the fear, nightmares, and pain they have endured. I feel ashamed of our humanity. We must be more courageous, outspoken, and truthful. We need to hold each other and our leaders more accountable. What have we done? What are we allowing to happen around us? What is the point of living if it means hurting these children so badly and being unable to protect them? What kind of hell on earth are we living in every day? Is this our new civilization? Is this how we live now—going about life as normal while letting these children suffer? Let the aid go through, let us travel there, let us help them. Donate to Gazan families. We must do everything we can and more. Please, we must put these children first—above our ideologies, religions, political agendas and parties, above our fear, above our anger, above anything. Nothing is more important than them. Nothing, yes, nothing. ~~~~~~~~~ Disclaimer: The opinions and comments shared on my LinkedIn profile are solely my own and do not reflect the views of my employer, affiliated organizations, or any other organizations with which I am involved.
Listen to this child: "My sister was riding on the carriage. She was hit by the airstrike and died.". In the full clip (not shown below), she then kisses her sister goodbye. During a genocide it is very important to hear the voices of children enduring that genocide. Unfortunately, complicit media have decided to silence their voices. "45 American surgeons, physicians, and nurses who volunteered in Gaza said in a letter to Biden that “every one of us on a daily basis treated pre-teen children who were shot in the head.” https://lnkd.in/gNRD5eDc "The silent people. This is, in part, on you...They kept on bombing schools because not enough people spoke out and it became normalised." - Owen Jones (a real Journalist) https://lnkd.in/gzkTt2B2

WATCH: "Stories of Transformation: Joe McKay" is a deeply moving portrait of a retired FDNY firefighter’s traumatic experiences during the 9/11 attacks and after being diagnosed with “cluster headaches,” considered to be the most painful condition one can experience. Joe eventually finds healing for both his physical and emotional pain through psychedelic medicines. Endless gratitude to Joseph Mckay for sharing your story and for being a tireless advocate around transformational medicines, cluster headache research, 9/11 health and compensation, and burn pit exposure.
