Recently, I had the pleasure to participate in the Season IV, US Cyber Open - as a Competitive CTF Participant, where I placed 370th out of 1,535 active players.
I had the opportunity to tackle challenges in both the Beginner and Competitive rooms, and don't let beginner fool you - it was tough! I'm proud to have solved 4/8 problems in the Competitive Forensics, and 10 in total from various categories such as: OSINT, cryptography, reverse engineering, and web exploitation - a few of which I will complete a write-up for as they were just that unique and fun.
Participating in this CTF has been an eye-opening experience, pushing me to expand my capabilities and think creatively under pressure. Another great aspect of CTF participation is embracing those skill gaps, for me that's web exploitation, and utilizing cyberchef to its full potential. Excited for continued learning as for me, it never stops!
