At the Democratic National Convention, former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama delivered powerful messages urging the nation to rally behind Vice President Kamala Harris as she faces a challenging race against Donald Trump. While Michelle Obama noted that "hope is making a comeback," her speech also marked a sharp contrast to her 2016 convention tone, calling out Trump's insecurities about Black success. Former President Obama echoed her urgency, affirming the country's readiness to embrace Harris, highlighting her historic candidacy as the first woman of Jamaican and Indian heritage running for president. These speeches emphasized the urgency to unite a diverse coalition to defeat Trump. Both Barack and Michelle Obama used their platform to stress the stakes, portraying the election as a critical juncture for America's future. As they positioned Harris as a leader capable of healing and advancing the nation, her campaign is drawing support from Democrats across the political spectrum and even former Trump officials like Stephanie Grisham. Grisham candidly criticized her former boss, highlighting Harris’ empathy and integrity in stark contrast to Trump. Harris’ message emphasized unity, freedom, and opportunity, framing her campaign as "people-powered" and committed to moving the country forward. Meanwhile, the symbolic roll call and moments of levity, including Lil Jon's performance, brought a festive atmosphere to the convention. Personal stories from Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, added depth to the portrayal of Harris as a compassionate leader with the strength and determination to lead the nation. As Harris’ coalition grows, Trump remains a formidable opponent, attacking her with claims of a “Marxist agenda.” However, Barack Obama’s call for unity and Michelle Obama’s dismantling of Trump’s divisive tactics demonstrated the Democratic Party’s commitment to offering a hopeful alternative. With the election framed as a battle for the soul of the nation, Kamala Harris, backed by the Obamas and a wide-reaching coalition, is positioned as the candidate capable of restoring democracy and trust in American institutions. #KamalaHarris2024 #DemocraticNationalConvention #HopeAndChange #EmpathyInLeadership #Election2024 #UniteForTheFuture https://lnkd.in/eZhjfcPV

Presidents Biden and Trump have sucked trillions of dollars from the pockets of working people and Americans deserve to hear from the one candidate who can hold them to account.” - RFK Jr. The Kennedy campaign is restoring the rights of American voters to see the presidential debate as it is supposed to be — Biden, Trump, Kennedy — and to decide for themselves which candidate will best serve them over the coming four years. Since 71% of Americans want to see Kennedy on the debate stage, the campaign will give them what they want at TheRealDebate.com. The Real Debate will be streamed on X and TheRealDebate.com. Live broadcast powered by 𝕏 starts at 6pm PT / 9pm ET June 27th. https://lnkd.in/g6dFv_sz With six qualifying polls and confirmed ballot access in more states than either of his competitors, Independent Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. meets all published participation criteria. His exclusion from the CNN debate stage has been widely decreed as an act of collusion between two establishment parties terrified of being held to their records and a cable news channel willing to compromise journalistic integrity to secure a multi-million dollar payday. CNN’s debate breaks historical precedent since it will be the: First time in American history that a general election debate has been owned and controlled by a for-profit corporation. First time since the inaugural presidential debate in 1960 between John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon where not a single voter will be present at the presidential debate. Earliest in a presidential election year in history and the first time prior to the DNC and RNC nominating conventions. First presidential debate since 1988 that the Commission on Presidential Debates has not sponsored. First-ever debate between a sitting president and a former president. A matchup of the two oldest candidates in U.S. history. MORE VOICES = MORE CHOICES. Hear all 3 options at TheRealDebate.com ! President Joe Biden’s unprecedented decision to step back from seeking a second term has sent ripples through the political landscape. It's the first time a sitting president has done so since Lyndon B. Johnson. In a historic move, Vice President Kamala Harris has swiftly secured endorsements from key Democratic figures and organizations, positioning herself as the frontrunner. Within just 32 hours, she garnered enough delegates to likely clinch the nomination, marking a significant shift in the 2024 presidential race. Harris's campaign has also seen an incredible fundraising surge, raising $81 million within 24 hours of Biden’s endorsement. What does this mean for the future of American politics? Check out our latest blog for an in-depth analysis of the Democratic nomination process, key endorsements, fundraising efforts, and what polling says about a Harris vs. Trump match-up. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eHU9yEsJ #PoliticalUpdate #2024Election #KamalaHarris #DemocraticNomination #USPolitics #Biden2024

RFKJr has not only condemned the Washington Post story, he has also drawn a very clear framing of Kamala Harris as authoritarian, corrupt, and completely clueless. He excoriates her as little more than a puppet and tool of the entrenched special interests which corporately comprise “the Deep State”. ***** JUST IN: Robert F. Kennedy Jr (@RobertKennedyJr) blasts Kamala Harris and warns, "VP Harris’s Democratic Party would be unrecognizable to my father and uncle and I cannot reconcile it with my values. The Democratic Party of RFK and JFK was the party of civil liberties and free speech. VP Harris‘s is the party of censorship, lockdowns, and medical coercion. "Kennedy Democrats were anti-war. Kamala‘s is riddled with neocon warmongers. The RFK/JFK dems were allies of Main Street, cops, firefighters, and working people. "VP Harris’s is the Party of Big Tech, Big Pharma and Wall Street. My dad and uncle’s party was the champion of voting rights and fair elections. VP Harris’s is the party of lawfare, disenfranchisement, and the coronation of its candidates by corporate donors and party elites. "I’ve used our nation’s courts to prosecute corporations who hurt Black Americans. VP Harris used our nation’s courts to mercilessly prosecute Black Americans and exploit them for their labor. My father and uncle prided themselves on their skills at debate and their ability to articulate a coherent vision for our country. "VP Harris is scared to debate and can’t survive an unscripted interview. Instead of outlining a vision, she relies on middleschool tactics – memes, forged headlines, infantile slogans (Joy!) and name calling (“Republicans are weird.“) I’ve spent years battling government corruption and lies. "VP Harris spent years gaslighting Americans about the health of our Commander in Chief. I have no plans to endorse Kamala Harris for President. I do have a plan to defeat her." ***** https://lnkd.in/gHEYR3JP However, we should not be quick to presume the Washington Post is completely artless in their reporting. With one story and Kennedy’s enthusiastic response, the Washington Post has moved Kennedy from the left of Harris (many of his positions are more progressive than Joe Biden was rhetorically) to a middle ground between Harris and Donald Trump. Kennedy's appeal is likely improved among independent voters who are gravitating towards Donald Trump as Harris reveals herself a tool of a progressive radical wing of the Democratic Party which many even within the party consider dangerous. If the Democrats want Kennedy to split the Trump populist vote this is the way to do it. The one risk they are taking is that Trump himself is a non-ideological individual, and if anyone can find common ground with Kennedy it is Trump — and the Washington Post just helped build the case they should join forces. https://lnkd.in/gxWYVAq2

Startup Funding - Get Funded Successfully "Every Startup is a search for a successful repeatable, scalable, profitable business model using innovation as a lever."
In Sun Tzu's Art of War, he rates Surprise & (mis)communication as the biggest weapon in war, politics & business. Barrack Obama knew if Biden withdraws 12 months before that will leave space open within Dems. Also till last moment projection Biden , made Trump focus on Biden . Now suddenly forcing Biden to withdraw at the last moment leaves no option but for Dems to support Harris. For Trump it become more difficult than before. Surprise & communication is also important in Business to get attention from Customers, Vendors, Investors. https://lnkd.in/gYymAjMm

February 3, 2024 / WhiteHouse Talking Points - Ahead of Today’s Primary, President Biden Calls Into Black Radio Across South Carolina This week, ahead of South Carolina’s historic first-in-the-nation Democratic primary, President Biden called into four Black radio stations across the state to talk directly to voters: WJMZ 107.3 with Mychal Maguire, WWDM The Big DM with Cynthia Hardy, WFMV 96.1FM with Jamal Bates, and WXST Star 99.7 with Stephen Crumbley. On the airwaves, President Biden highlighted what's at stake for South Carolinians in this election and encouraged voters to make their voices heard in this historic primary. President Biden on WWDM The Big DM with Cynthia Hardy “The only reason I’m talking to you today as president of the United States of America is because of South Carolina. That is not hyperbole. That's a fact.” “And you know, we made a lot of promises back then. I said, we promised that we’d get historic lows for Black unemployment. Well it’s historically low now. I– we said that Black wealth would go up, we’ve increased Black wealth nationwide by 60% since the pandemic. Black small businesses are up, fastest rate of 30 years– 30 year history. And South Carolina has 1.1 million seniors on Medicare beneficiaries, save on drug costs, including insulin – $35 instead of $400. Promises made, promises kept.” President Biden on WJMZ 107.3 with Mychal Maguire "I think it's important that the country be represented by what it looks like. We have a large African American population in America, they deserve to have a say – particularly in the Democratic Party – a say in who the nominee should be. And, for example, I want everybody to understand all they got to do is go to IWillVote.com, find out where their voting place is, where they can show up… The more we make our voice heard, the more people get used to hearing it. And that's why I said when I got elected, I was going to have an administration that looked like America and I was gonna make sure we represent all of America. And I just think it's really important." President Biden on WFMV 96.1FM with Jamal Bates “You're the first Democratic primary that counts. And, you know, it's really important that South Carolina be first in the nation because it reflects the nation more. It's more diverse. It has more, not only African Americans, but more people of different backgrounds. And I think it's more reflective of what– what needs to be done.” President Biden on WXST Star 99.7 with Stephen Crumbley “The reason why it's so important is to make it clear that the community will not be taken for granted, will not be taken for granted. It’s critically important… the most important thing is to make sure that your voice is heard. Everyone deserves an even shot. I made a promise. I made a promise, that's exactly what happened with the African-American community while I’m president. And guess what? A promise made is a promise kept.” ###
