Event design for Biz events- including prospectus development - has to evolve SO QUICKLY… because change impacting the way we work isn’t slowing down. There’s no ‘going back’ to the flagship physical event, expo-hall mentality of 2019. We are serving newly diversified audiences in new ways - and we’ve learned too much to revert to 10x10s and swag bags stuffed with branded dongles and clicky pens. (Don’t gemme wrong. There’s also a better way to do branded gifting. That’s just fodder for a different post.) I’m stoked to join this conversation & share how Women In Product is adapting our approach - and our offerings - to meet the needs of our corporate supporters (who are ALSO navigating today’s new landscape.) I’m also looking forward to hearing about how other #eventprofs are innovating in their event sponsorships. Nobody has it ‘nailed forever and ever amen.’ That’s my favorite thing about events in the post-2020 years. Now it’s OBVIOUS that there’s no one best way to design experiences, no ‘forever’ right answer, and there’s so much hunger from the event community to figure out together how to move forward. I’m ready to talk dolla dolla bills, yo. I think about sponsors as a subgroup of attendees - our sponsors, just like our attendees, join our events because they want to equip women #productmanagers to thrive. Sponsorship fuels much of what we do in events - especially those of us in the nonprofit space. Come hang out with us on the 28th! I’ll be gabbing with Rachel Moore and friends. You’ll get tips for adding some updated zip🔥 to YOUR prospectus’ secret sauce. Oh, and if you work for a company in the digital product space and you care about recruiting and supporting your women PMs - your people should talk to my people. (sponsors@womenpm.org) We can help with that.
