Helping CEOs sign sports clients on LinkedIn | Attract opportunities with high impact content | Former Leader at Auto Trader, Founder, 1x Exit From Sports Tech Startup.
My role isn't to be seen as an authority in sports. My role IS to help you be seen as an authority in sports. And if you're already an authority offline... What's is holding you back from being an authority online? Over the past couple of months, I've had the opportunity to speak with CEOs, C-suite executives, and people who operate in sports: → Right Holders → Sports organisations → Former professional athletes → Current professional athletes And when it comes to LinkedIn, here's the one thing potentially holding you back. → Confidence. Not a lack of confidence in general. But more a lack of confidence to consistently show up on a platform like LinkedIn Some people have shared that... "It's not a confidence thing, I just don't have time" Others have shared... "I don't know what to post about" But for the most part... It's the confidence to consistently bring an established offline authority, on to a platform like LinkedIn. This is where I come in. I ghostwrite for a small number of C-suite executives in sports. I can help you: → Create a content strategy that builds your online authority → Attract opportunities that align to your commercial objectives → Save you time in the process So if you're interested in learning more about the process, and want to get more out of your approach to linkedIn… Head over to my profile And click on the link in my Featured Section to book a call.

As I further develop my #DCIMCapstone project, I'd like to provide some updates on the process of researching and gathering the content and information that will be the foundation of my project. This process has proved to be more difficult than anticipated. Compared to the rapid growth rate of the sports and media industry, finding relevant and helpful, credible sources seems to be more of challenge than I had initially expected. Taking into consideration that my project relies largely on my own personal opinion supported by the facts and opinions of credible and reliable leaders in the industry, I'd like to ask for some guidance in regards to collecting sources that span a wide reach in the industry. In a more positive light, my journey through this project has further solidified my desired career path. Working as a public relations professional in the sports/media field has become an attainable goal, and I am endlessly grateful for this project being a means to reaffirm this passion. If there are any specific media outlets, journalists, professionals, or reviews that would be helpful in my research process, please let me know! One of my favorite and most helpful sources was published by ADWEEK, and is linked below: https://lnkd.in/eYPpjcQP

More than 20 years working as a Copywriter, Journalist, Editor-in-Chief and latterly, as a Сontent-Manager and PR-manager
Should PR people participate in professional competitions. If yes, why? The answer to this question is the starting point of any project. For communication agencies, participation in competitions is an opportunity to "try on projects" and learn new experience in one bottle. Clients will also be pleased that you consider the results of your co-operation worthy of nomination. Before taking part in a competition, I would ask which cases have won awards in previous years and which of your projects fulfils the entry criteria for a particular nomination. Therefore, one of the important criteria is free access to the cases of shortlisted applicants. The conditions of any professional competition should be transparent and the results objective. Analysing the market through the prism of participants' projects attracts much more attention than a large number of nominations. I was extremely surprised when I could not get acquainted with the cases of the winners of one PR-award either during the ceremony or afterwards. Photos of the award participants were posted on the official website afterwards, but nobody ever waited for the cases. It is logical to assume that if a contestant has been shortlisted, it is important for them to be able to demonstrate their project. This could be a booklet provided to contestants and guests, and, of course, a section on the award's website. It is not quite appropriate to mix in one nomination cases from B2B and B2C, which have completely different audiences, influencing both the conduct of business and approaches to its promotion. It would be like putting lightweight boxing world champion David Haney against heavyweight Tyson Fury. Also, in my opinion, the organisers should have limited the number of prizes one company can win. If a project wins more than two nominations, it would be logical to make a separate prize for it. Otherwise, it turns out that the same company gets statuette after statuette. There is no doubt in the professionalism of the winners, but the lack of access to projects makes the machine-gun queue of prizes look a bit biased. So, is it worth participating in contests? It depends on what you want for yourself, for your clients and perhaps for the industry. If you want to strengthen your company's brand and incentivise employees to develop, then it's definitely a step up.
