🌟 Today, I had the privilege of attending the MOSAIC network meeting at Department of Resources (Queensland), a powerful forum dedicated to our CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) community. The key focus of our discussion was Multicultural Month and how we, as ENABLERS, can actively promote the embrace of cultural diversity. Our conversations delved into the development of CALD frameworks that not only educate but also raise awareness. We highlighted the importance of embedding culturally safe practices, policies, and respectful attitudes in our everyday operations. It’s about creating an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, regardless of their cultural background. A special mention to Gobind Kalsi, Executive Director Reform Strategy & Delivery Lead, who  became our New Executive Champion for our Mosaic network and our lovely Diversity and Inclusive team @Teresa Brennan Manager Inclusion and Diversity, Thérèse Roe, Andrew Eggins shared valuable insights on the different types of cultural blindness, bias and what leads to uncomfortable cultural dynamics. Other members shared why and how top leadership team needs to support this and how this forum can help us contribute in advance to support those leaders who connect Resources at various international forums which will really help to make better connections and enhance International relationships demonstrating our passion to learn every culture. Attended by more than 20 representatives both online and offline, we had employees representing various cultures. One key point of discussion was understanding and managing cultural load and how collaboratively everyone with an intention can take small steps to understand and respect other cultural identities. We have many initiatives planned to ensure safety, mental well-being, and a culturally safe environment – responsibilities that lie with all of us. The mantra of the day was "Unlearn and Relearn" – challenging and eliminating set biases to foster an inclusive workplace. It’s time to start self-learning and be thoughtful as we progress because we are all accountable. My question is bias really addressed?? I've been eagerly waiting for March 1st, because it marks the start of international Women Month, And I am glad to unveil a project that has a special place in my heart. Those familiar with me know of my passion for multicultural experiences. I have an insatiable thirst for learning about, connecting with, and exploring cultures different from my own, and I take pride in sharing my own cultural heritage with those around me. This curiosity has led me to various parts of the globe, enabling me to forge connections with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, both personally and professionally. From this tapestry of experiences, a project has emerged. Designed to support, empower, and guide Latinas working in multinational companies. It is my pleasure to introduce you to Latina Lead Link – a Project dedicated to sharing experiences and lessons learned while working in multicultural environments. Here, we will explore how cultural backgrounds influence decision-making and communication within the business context. Armed with this knowledge, we, as Latinas, can propel ourselves forward as leaders in a multifaceted global arena.   Latina Lead Link will provide a vast network of resources that are tailored to empower Latina professionals; and to serve multicultural organizations as an instrument for employee engagement and contribution to diversity programs.   This is my official invitation to connect; let’s make Latina Lead Link not just a platform; but a community where everyone is invited to learn, grow, and place cultural understanding in the spotlight.
