Just to be really clear on the prohibition of cross examination of DA victims in County Courts, and, particularly, if a Restraining Order is in place. If these can't be followed, how on earth will we protect survivors of DA. They have been implemented in the DA Bill for a reason: Section 66 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 that reads: “Prohibition of cross examination in civil matters in County Courts and Section 85G which reads: “Prohibition of cross-examination in persons: persons protected by injunctions” and sub-section 1: “In civil proceedings, no party to the proceedings against whom an on-notice protective injunction is in force may cross-examine in person a witness who is protected by the injunction
