In the early 1900s, train track safety signals often shattered when temperatures rose or dropped suddenly. Corning Glass Works developed a borosilicate glass formulation that was more resistant to thermal shock. Nearly a decade later, the company created their iconic Pyrex® cookware. #WHY? 1) When should shrink packaging be used? Shrink wrap packaging is a popular option for many industries. From small personal care products to large windows and everything in between, shrink wrap can securely protect products as they travel to their destinations. It's a protective and cost-effective option for many products and companies. 2) What are the advantages of hear shrink? Protection against abrasion, low impacts, and sharp cutting edges. Defense against water, chemicals, dust, and other intrusive contaminants. Organization of wires and cables into easy-to-handle bundles. A smoother texture and finished appearance. Electrical and thermal insulation. 3) Why use shrink wrap? Shrink wrap's strong consistency keeps the items secure even during movement. The durability of shrink film wrap also keeps it from weakening or sagging over time. After applying shrink wrap to an item, it stays tightly sealed, even when facing extreme temperatures or conditions. HST checkmarker pen for increased safety: Toughened glass is subjected to an additional heat treatment, the “hot storage test” (HST), to increase the safety of glass building facades. It is available on the market as ESG-H, a construction-regulated product. The hot storage test is used to inspect for nickel sulphide inclusions in the glass, which can cause spontaneous breakage of panes long after installation. This risk must be minimised. In order to guarantee manufacturers of TSG-H more legal security, HEGLA boraident has developed a thermochromic test ink that yields instant proof of a properly performed hot storage test directly – on each individual pane. The boraident HST checkmarker pen is used to apply this ink directly onto panes. The pen reacts in two ways during hot storage tests: 1. Colour change from blue to white shows whether or not the glass has undergone the hot storage process 2. Diffusion of a fluorescent dye into the glass and thereby detection/proof of the marking under UV light The checkmarker pen provides unique, non-forgeable proof that a hot storage test was performed. #checkmarker #ESG #laserprocessing #innovation

Low-pressure washers don’t have the power to remove chips and residue from tapped or blind holes. Shower washers don’t provide precision aim, so chips are left behind. Sugino’s JCC Module combines a targeted cleaning method with the right pressure to completely remove chips. Every cycle, every time. The secret to high-speed, high-precision cleaning is our patented "Swing Targeted Cleaning." The workpiece's rotation axis and the nozzle's three servo axes move in sync constantly targeting the holes while spraying, in "Swing Targeted Cleaning." High-precision cleaning accurately targets tapped and blind holes. High-speed positioning using multiple axes and high-flow jets from multiple nozzles cleans the entire workpiece quickly and completely. And the Module’s minimal footprint makes it easy to introduce into any factory. See it in action below. #cleaning #washing #automotivemanufacturing #aerospacemanufacturing #medicalmanufacturing
