Travel to Morocco, one of the most beautiful countries in North Africa and this is how much I spent exploring it. I flew in from Nigeria with Air France and my ticket cost $1300. You need to have a Schengen transit visa to travel to Morocco via Air France though, as my team member who didn't have a Schengen visa was denied boarding. Perks of holding the Nigerian passports. We had to buy a new ticket on Emerald the next day for him. My visa cost me around $200 which I applied for two weeks prior to my trip. I landed in Casablanca and the first hotel I stayed in cost $100. It was 20 minutes away. From the third biggest mosque in North Africa which I went to see for free. The next day I took a train from Casablanca to Marrakesh which cost around $15 and stayed in a hotel located in Gueliz which is a really nice area and it cost me $100 for a night. This area is very close to the emerging now which I explored for free. The media is filled with so many activities and you can spend the whole day here just sightseeing. I tried that multiple foods and drinks in the Medina which cost me $50 over the span of two days. I also try to visit the YSL Museum located in Marrakesh, but the line was so long I just gave up. This would have. 3-10 dollars. Also visited some of the famous monuments like the El Badi Palace and the Saadian tombs which cost $7. 00 and $6 respectively. Now this is the market without checking out the react within yourself some disservice. Have you said a nice one called Low Jardine? It costs $150. 00 to stay in. Advise you to only come here if you have a baby or Boo because of how intimate the vibe of Riaza. Now that's a rough estimate of how much I spend visiting Morocco. Morocco is a great country to visit, and it definitely comes recommended! Yet visitors need to be aware that it's very much a cash-based economy. There's definitely a downside to cash. You can be always hunting for an ATM, and when you find one, it may be out of order or have run out of cash. Also, in a cash-based society, no one wants small bills!
