Yesterday, USI Insurance Services volunteers joined us at Sterling Community Center (SCC) for USI Gives Back 2024! They helped to beautify our garden, prepared meals, and engaged with SCC participants through discussions and collaborative art making. At Greater Mental Health of New York, we recognize that mental health and wellness are shaped by many aspects of a person’s life - whether it’s through meaningful employment, community connections over shared activities and meals, or enjoying time outdoors. This ideology is at the heart of our psychosocial well-being model, which guides our work and is exemplified by SCC. Through their efforts, the USI volunteers contributed to creating spaces, activities, and opportunities that support SCC participants’ wellness journeys. We’re grateful for their efforts to give back to their community’s #mentalhealth and #breakthestigma. Thank you, USI!
