As an academics, I believe teaching effectiveness is achieved by incorporating different pedagogies. However, the “Adaptation to Individual Needs” pedagogy remains one of my best. Why? Because great teachers adapt their teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Again, this pedagogy — Adaptation to Individual Needs (AIN,) involves recognizing different learning styles, adjusting pace and providing additional support to students when necessary in order to achieve the learning objectives. Pedagogy refers to the methods and practices employed by a teacher. It encompasses how educators deliver the curriculum to foster knowledge, their teaching style, the theories that shape their philosophies, as well as their feedback and assessment methods. While the specifics may vary based on the age of the students and the classroom setting, the core meaning of pedagogy remains consistent from pre-K through college. In essence, pedagogy is the cornerstone of effective teaching, serving as the guiding framework that shapes the educational experience across all levels of learning, from pre-K to college. Critical pedagogy includes at least two related things at once: applying critical theory to the theory of education itself and making education be about teaching critical theory.

Inclusive Teaching Award-winning teachers offer practical tips for addressing inequities in the college classroom and for making all students feel welcome and included. In a book written by and for college teachers, Kelly Hogan and Viji Sathy provide tips and advice on how to make all students feel welcome and included. They begin with a framework describing why explicit attention to structure enhances inclusiveness in both course design and interactions with and between students. Inclusive Teaching then provides practical ways to include more voices in a series of contexts: when giving instructions for group work and class activities, holding office hours, communicating with students, and more. The authors finish with an opportunity for the reader to reflect on what evidence to include in a teaching dossier that demonstrates inclusive practices. The work of two highly regarded specialists who have delivered over a hundred workshops on inclusive pedagogy and who contribute frequently to public conversations on the topic, Inclusive Teaching distills state-of-the-art guidance on addressing privilege and implicit bias in the college classroom. It seeks to provide a framework for individuals and communities to ask, Who is being left behind and what can teachers do to add more structure? https://lnkd.in/gzJgJxbB

Reflections of a teacher! Today on 5th September, like every year there were 100s of emails and messages wishing Happy Teachers Day. The question that we teachers need to ask ourselves is - do we really deserve this respect? - Our education system is hardly preparing students for constructive roles in society. See the situation in society. We have no proper vision as to where we want students to be in future! - Outdated syllabi are ruining the aspirations of students and parents. Not even worth talking about it. - Rusted teaching pedagogy with least innovation and absolutely no customization. Still, we want to be respected by students and parents and society in general? Let's, first do our bit to improve educational experience for students and have a vision to build future of students and become enablers of their परमार्थ also. #Reflections of a #teacher
