Board Certified of Emergency Medicine | Assistant Professor | ECFMG&DHA Certified | Point of care ultrasound instructor Certified ARDMS | Evidence Base Medicine fellowship | MCM instructor | Bodybuilder | Adventurer 💯
#EmergencyMedicine #NewResearch #POCUS #EBM Last week, I had a patient who presented to the emergency room with a headache that would not respond to treatment. Therefore, I admitted him and performed a point of care ultrasound on him. He had aortic and carotid dissections simultaneously, to his disbelief. In my opinion, Point of Care Ultrasound is the future of medicine. By using POCUS, you can go beyond the guesswork of "inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation" to actually observe what is happening in the patient's body in real time. It is imperative that students and clinicians are educated about POCUS in modern medical education. “IN MODERN MEDICINE, POCUS KNOWLEDGE IS POWER” #CaseReport 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eyaerWPS #YouTube 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eVvt83j5 Alireza Bahmani M.D Zahedan University of Medical Sciences
