🚨Let’s talk ASC Accreditation!🚨 A few months ago I got a call from a CNO at an ASC that was overwhelming stressed about an upcoming accreditation visit. It took about 15 minutes before they realized that everything was going to be okay. I walked them through our step by step process to prepare them for accreditation and and reassured them that the accreditation process shouldn’t be stressful. Especially when you know not only the rubric, but also the answers before the test. Needless to say, they passed accreditation without any issues. Moving forward, we became their internal compliance department and created a partnership with 2 goals in mind: 1) Patient Safety above all 2) Never to stress about an audit again For those of you out there that might be in the same shoes and are stressed about regulatory compliance or audits, I’ll share this article to help you through it. When exploring accreditation with IANZ, the first step is reaching our to our accreditation services team, who will provide you with all of the essential information, documents, and forms from the IANZ website to get you started. Organisations seeking accreditation by IANZ will need to document their technical and quality systems in a manual (or other alternative set of procedures) describing how their operation meets the standards and criteria. If you’ve never formally contacted IANZ before we strongly recommend an advisory visit by an IANZ accreditation assessor to review your organisation’s existing systems and procedures and/or explain accreditation and the accreditation process in more detail.
