🚴 Exciting News in British Cycling! 🚴 We’re thrilled to announce that Fran Millar, the former Ineos Grenadiers boss, has officially joined Rapha as CEO, marking a “significant milestone” for the brand. This game-changing appointment comes just three months after Rapha made the tough decision to close its US office, a move that followed annual losses amounting to £12 million. Fran Millar's journey has been one of resilience and leadership. Her exit from the Ineos group, announced less than a week after Dan Bigham publicly criticized the British team for its “lack of clarity,” signifies a strategic pivot at a critical time for Rapha. With her extensive experience and proven track record, Millar’s leadership is expected to drive Rapha into its next phase of growth and innovation. 🗣️ Millar's appointment is bound to bring fresh perspectives and efficient solutions to overcome current challenges. It's not just a notable gain for Rapha but for the entire cycling community which reveres quality, performance, and passion. Rapha's decision to bring on such a high-caliber leader underscores its commitment to emerging stronger from recent setbacks. We believe this change not only reflects a new chapter for the brand but also reinstates confidence among stakeholders and cycling enthusiasts worldwide. Keep following for more updates on how Fran Millar will steer Rapha into brighter horizons. 🚀 🔗 Read more: [road.cc](https://lnkd.in/e4Be_sPG) #CyclingIndustry #BusinessLeadership #FranMillar #Rapha #IneosGrenadiers #CyclingCommunity #Innovation #Leadership #BritishBrand #CyclingNews @roadcc @Rapha

Call out to all Cycling Club members! As we see clubs disappear and less people riding we need to ask ourselves what is going on with our sport. Cycling Clubs need to address the demographic they are appealing to and who they are attracting into the sport. Without a doubt we need to encourage the youth element into the sport. No it’s not easy and it takes dedicated members of the Club to take a lead on this and give up something that is precious to us all - time! All clubs and namely members need to start stepping up and volunteering to take a lead in bringing on a youth section in all clubs or else we will see continued decline in our sport. No it’s not an easy task following the guidelines set down by British Cycling but those guidelines are there for good reason. So you can’t let the committee in your club, who are probably already overstretched in keeping the club going take on yet another task, it has to be you or others in the club giving up time to help achieve this aim. We need more young people taking up the sport to keep it alive. #britishcycling #cycling #volunteer #youthdevelopment #engagement #inclusivity #leadership

🌍🚴♂️ hansgrohe x Pro Cycling: A Perfect Match? Definitely for me! I joined Hansgrohe Group three years ago because I love road cycling. For the brand, though, the decision to start cycling sponsorship was a very rational one: - Professional Cycling is International: It's broadcasted globally with more than 300 race days per year. - High-Value Audience: Cycling fans have high net incomes and love investing in top-quality products (just like me! 😄). - Title Sponsorship: Unlike many sports, cycling allows us to be a title sponsor, not just a name on a banner. Our team name may be long, but it's the wins that count, right? 😉 - Passionate and Emotional: I believe the Tour de France is the most challenging sporting event in the world. Disagree? Watch the Netflix documentary "Tour de France: Unchained" (especially episode 2 where we have the yellow jersey – yay!). - VIP Experiences: Hosting VIP clients, employees, and press events around cycling creates strong community bonds. Stay tuned for our once-in-a-lifetime event at the final stage of the TdF in Nice this year! As CHECK24 Vergleichsportal showed during this #EM, #sponsorship can take many successful routes. What do you think about #sponsoring? Any other best practices that come to mind?

https://lnkd.in/ei426Td5 Great data from the #walking and #cycling index showing the importance, benefits and popularity of #activetravel . Also interesting to note in the data when looking at active mode by gender that cycling is more likely among males than females, but the numbers are increasing.
