Just returned from an incredible time at the 2024 IAVM Venue Connect in Portland, Oregon. I was excited to dive into the sessions and explore the latest themes and trends shaping our industry. It was inspiring to see how technology is being leveraged to drive growth and innovation in venues. From construction and the impacts on customer experience, data analytics, and of course AI, the possibilities are endless! One key takeaway is the crucial role technology plays in enabling our business to thrive. Staying ahead of the curve and embracing new tech solutions is essential for our continued success. It’s clear that the future of venue management is achieved by great people and tech-driven, and I’m excited to be a part of it. I hope to see more technologists joining future IAVM conferences. It’s vital for venue leaders to understand how to best interact with and harness the power of technology. Collaboration and knowledge-sharing are key to our collective growth. Venue leaders need to encourage their tech leaders to come, even if it’s every couple of years.
