Our first event participation was a huge success, but it also revealed some interesting dynamics... We were honored to participate in the Hello Space festival, where students and seniors from across the country gathered. This event provided us with a valuable opportunity to raise awareness about the growing potential of recent AI innovations. During the event, we learned just how much students were using AI to help them with their schoolwork. Nearly all of our interactions revealed that students are currently or have previously used ChatGPT. We expected that many would have used it, but not at this scale. It's evident that AI already plays a significant role in the next generation's academic approach. We recognize that the primary LLM utilized by students, currently ChatGPT 3.5, is susceptible to inaccuracies. This presents a considerable risk, given that many students regard it as a reliable source of information. The handouts we distributed to students contained concise, practical prompting techniques, including role and context specification, and Chain of Thought reasoning. While these methods can indeed reduce inaccuracies, they do not completely eliminate them. This experience underscores a global imperative to educate students on the responsible use of AI tools and the importance of critical thinking in the digital age.
We're honored to have participated in the 4th annual "Hello Space" event organized by The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria. We deeply admire their commitment to inspire children to learn more about technology and space and are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this impactful initiative.

Over the past few weeks I have been learning PyTorch. As part of that, I have followed tutorials where I build simple classification models or use transfer learning. After attending this talk what really stood out was just how much more complexity and ambiguity exists in a real world application as opposed to in a tutorial / toy example. Granted, the point of the tutorial is to equip one with an understanding of the tool so it naturally limits the complexity. Specifically, two areas of the ML pipeline stood out to me: 1) Data requires much much more preprocessing and strutinizing as opposed to having a ready made dataset that you can convert into a PyTorch dataset and data loader. 2) GPU costs really start adding up unlike when you’re training a model on colab. All in all an educative session, even if I didn’t follow everything. Looking forward to another session by Cohere For AI where a Google DeepMind researcher will be talking about neural network interpretability!
