Hackers leak Ticketmaster data, including tickets for 154 events. Hackers are claiming to have leaked data stolen from Snowflake accounts, including 39,000 print-at-home Ticketmaster tickets for 154 events. They are demanding a ransom from Ticketmaster, but Ticketmaster says their anti-fraud measures will protect ticket holders. The hackers claim Ticketmaster is lying and that some tickets cannot be rotated. Ticketmaster has not responded to requests for how they will handle the leaked data. This is a serious issue for anyone who has purchased tickets for upcoming events through Ticketmaster. It's important to be vigilant and to monitor your bank statements for any suspicious activity. You may also want to contact Ticketmaster directly to inquire about the security of your tickets. Here are some additional tips for staying safe when purchasing tickets online: 1. Only purchase tickets from authorized sellers. 2. Be wary of deals that seem too good to be true. 3. Use a credit card for your purchase so that you can dispute any fraudulent charges. 4. Keep your computer security software up to date. By following these tips, you can help to protect yourself from becoming a victim of a ticket scam. #TicketmasterHack #DataLeak #SecurityIncident

🚨 Over 500,000,000 Accounts: Ticketmaster Breached Again 🚨 Apparently, the 20%+ in service and processing fees weren’t being allocated to cybersecurity efforts! While Ticketmaster has not confirmed the breach. According to vx-underground, an unidentified Threat Group gained access to Ticketmaster's AWS instances by pivoting from a Managed Service Provider sometime in April. Contrary to initial reports, the breach was not executed by the ShinyHunters group; instead, ShinyHunters acted as a proxy, posting the data for auction. Based on samples reviewed from the data, the breach appears legitimate, with a date range from April 2024 to the mid-2000s. The compromised data includes: — Full name — Email address — Address — Telephone number — Credit card number (hashed) — Credit card type, authentication type, etc. — All user financial transactions This breach highlights the evolving threat landscape and the increasing sophistication of cyberattacks. Organizations must prioritize cybersecurity to protect their users and maintain trust. #Cybersecurity #DataBreach #Ticketmaster #Infosec #CyberAwareness #DataProtection #SecurityFirst #VendorRiskManagement #ThirdPartyRisk #CyberRisk #SupplyChainSecurity #RiskManagement #RiskAssessment #ThirdPartySecurity #RiskMitigation #ITSecurity #CyberThreats #VendorSecurity https://lnkd.in/geq7feMQ https://lnkd.in/gWqHMANp

Whether you run a small, medium, or enterprise business, having the right cybersecurity measures in place is crucial. Implementing an EDR agent like SentinelOne with a rollback feature can help combat threats like Ransomware effectively. Pairing this with an MDR solution such as Rapid7 allows for real-time evaluation of security logs for potential threats across various platforms. To complete the security ecosystem, having qualified professionals to monitor and respond to security events is essential. When a Data Breach Becomes Reality Within the IT community, there is often a tendency to underestimate the significance of compromised data and its potential impact. However, real case studies, such as the BleepingComputer report revealing that 39,000 print-at-home tickets for 154 events were made available, highlight the tangible effects on individuals. Labelling compromised data as "legacy data" can be misleading. Indeed, any data older than one minute could be considered legacy, but its relevance remains significant regardless of age. Whether someone signed up for a service three years ago or just a minute ago, the data holds the same potential value. Additionally, a threat group recently disclosed that 160,000 Taylor Swift 🤩 ticket barcodes were exposed. Despite Ticketmaster's dismissal of the threat, citing their anti-fraud measures, logic suggests otherwise. If a ticket is printed at home, the barcode cannot be rotated, making the data potentially exploitable. The threat group behind the print-at-home ticket breach involving Ticketmaster is Sp1d3rHunters, believed to operate out of Eastern Europe or Russia. This group has also been linked to attacks on Truist Bank 💰 and the Los Angeles Unified School District, with the latter involving over 24 million records. Shiny Hunters threat group claims to have obtained Ticketmaster data through a hack of the cloud storage company Snowflake, as reported by WIRED (source: WIRED https://lnkd.in/ddRS9kcd). The Snowflake breach is considered comparable to the high-profile SolarWinds and MoveIt (Progress) incidents in terms of its third-party implications (#supplychain). Understanding and mitigating the risks posed by compromised data is crucial for any organisation's cybersecurity strategy. 'Ticking off' ✔ or should we say auditing and mitigating that data plays a key part in the combined people, process(governance) and technology cyber security risk. It's Scary When Companies We Regularly Use Get Hacked! 😰 A massive data breach has hit Ticketmaster, potentially exposing over 500 million customers' sensitive info to hackers! The group ShinyHunters claims to have 1.3 TB of stolen data including names, addresses, emails, phone numbers & credit card details. 💳 Ticketmaster hasn't confirmed. I believe we should minimize sharing personal data with companies. It may be inconvenient, but better to re-enter payment details than have info stolen, right? For many of us who use sites like Ticketmaster frequently, it's really concerning to see them get hacked. Since lots of people don't know what to do, this breach highlights how crucial data privacy is. Experts recommend to stay safe: 🔹Monitor accounts 🔹Change passwords 🔹Enable multi-factor authentication 🔹Watch for phishing attempts Companies must improve cybersecurity, but we can also limit the data we provide. The less they have, the less risk if breached. What are your thoughts on data privacy vs convenience? https://lnkd.in/egGAkEFm #cybersecurity #databreach #ticketmaster #identitytheft #privacy
