I almost removed myself from my business 👌 This is why it matters: To grow Findymail , I need to work ON the business and not IN the business. I'm at a stage now where I need to take a step-back to have a clear picture of the strategic moves we need to do. When I started entering 5 figures per month, the 1st thing I did was to hire an assistant to handle time consuming tasks and helping me on customer support. Ever since, I pretty much hired someone new every 2 to 3 months. I started as a solo founder, we're now 7 (soon 8? we're hiring! 👀) in the team. Removing myself from the business also helps me raise the valuation of my company. People don't buy businesses that live without the founder. So I'm also creating value for my future self here. ---- Question: what steps are you taking to work ON the business and not IN the business. So awesome to hear this. What were the hardest (or last) hires you made to remove yourself from the biz?
I still remember when you didi your first hires. Pretty impressive how fast you were able to delegate to then focus on the next thing then delegate over and over 👏👏👏
Congratulations Valentin W.! Working ON the business is my priority too. As a all-in workflow automation consultant, I abandoned my business completely. One of the biggest steps for me is to find the best proximity to my clients and work on the right time zone - so moving to Mexico from Europe next week! 🥂 Critical part of working on business for me is my daily brand growth KPIs: - Content - Outreach - Partnerships.
Wow that’s an impressive journey and growth you’ve experienced here Valentin! Huge congrats. Since the beginning of my startup mentoring journey a few months ago this is probably the number 1 mistake most founders do once they start to grow steadily: They are afraid to let go and delegate (in house or outside) thus getting to a point of burning out. The important is to aim at remaining lean while investing in the areas that will have the biggest impact on growth. If the founder doesn’t have the time to think strategically because he is bug down by day to day activities then it slows down the entire company. Well done to you for taking the right approach! What more are you doing to accelerate even faster? 😉
that's some serious business growth. outsourcing tasks and expanding the team are key steps. 👏 Valentin W.
👀
That's such a crucial shift for growth and strategy. Your journey with Findymail is truly inspiring. Valentin W.
