Hurricane Francine made landfall at Louisiana yesterday, bringing heavy rainfall, and raising the risk of flash and flooding in Louisiana, Mississippi and far southern Alabama. Today, Gulf of Mexico gas production estimate came in at ~99.4 bcfd. Shut-ins at GOM today is estimated to be ~1.09 bcfd. GOM production yesterday was revised down by ~180 mmcfd. Francine is back to storm level. Storm Surge warning remains effective for coastal portions of LA, MS and AL. According to BSEE, personnel have been evacuated yesterday from 2 non-dynamically positioned rigs, out of the 5 rigs of this type currently operating in GOM. Shell remained production shut-ins at Perdido, Auger, and Enchilada/Salsa assets. Trunkline has brought back capacities as the storm continues to move further East from Texas. Nautilus declared Force Majeure on all its receipts, said there will be zero receipts from Gas Day, 12 September. However, there has been an upward trend in receipts on Nautilus from 12 September 2024. MS Canyon issued a notice early Thursday that Tagra-operated Venice Gas Plant is currently unable to receive gas from MS Canyon. This point was receiving ~250,000 MMBtu/d in the last 30 days, and we might see a drop of a similar magnitude in the receipts to Venice plant in the upcoming cycles. Altamira Terminal is one of its kind, with a strategic positioning off the coast of Tamaulipas, Mexico, and the introduction of NFE's first Fast LNG unit, which promises rapid and efficient liquefaction capabilities. NFE's first Fast LNG unit at Altamira expects to deliver its first cargo by the end of July. This development marks a critical milestone in NFE's operations, showcasing substantial progress since the unit reached mechanical completion earlier this year. Additionally, the arrival of the Energos Princess tanker, which appears to be en route to Altamira, underscores the facility's readiness to enter the global LNG market, potentially enhancing Mexico's energy export capabilities. Using our VesselTracker tool, we were able to track the empty LNG tanker Energos Princess heading toward NFE’s Altamira LNG. Although the AIS destination for the vessel is posted as “For Orders”, the current heading is more westward than what would be taken to sail to the nearest LNG facility, Corpus Christi LNG. The path and heading are visible in our image showing the vessels current path as well as its previous path to Corpus Christi in late June.
