If I were to describe my journey thus far as a first-year law school, I would say it has been a rollercoaster of emotions, challenges, and growth. From endless nights of studying to navigating through tough assignments, each hurdle tested my patience, faith, and self-motivation. But amidst it all, I've held onto one unwavering belief - the power of trust and love. Throughout this journey, I've poured my heart into supporting others, believing in the strength of camaraderie and friendship. Yet, life has taught me a hard lesson - not everyone reciprocates the same level of loyalty and support. It's disheartening to realize that sometimes those you expect to have your back may not always be there when you need them most. But through these disappointments, I've learned the importance of resilience and self-reliance. I've discovered an inner strength I never knew I possessed, pushing myself beyond the limits I once thought impossible. And in the face of adversity, I've emerged stronger, more determined, and fiercely independent. So here's to the journey - the highs, the lows, and everything in between. It's taught me invaluable lessons about perseverance, resilience, and the true meaning of self-love. As I continue to navigate through the challenges ahead, I'll carry with me the wisdom gained from both the triumphs and the tribulations. Because ultimately, it's not the obstacles we face that define us, but how we rise above them with grace, courage, and unwavering determination. How close are you to achieving real #success? Well, I suppose that depends on how “success” is defined. A lot of us on his platform already have what many others in the world consider “success.” Somewhere in the last five years, someone told me that I had arrived. Beautiful wife, healthy, and intelligent children, lovely, single-family home, law degree, and the career in law practice that looks very impressive in the eyes of non-lawyers. That certainly was not my perspective. In my eyes, they could not be any further from the truth. I bemoaned the day-to-day costs of raising the children. I often found myself lost trying to figure out how to be a good husband to my wife. I didn’t have a single jury trial of experience under my belt as a lawyer. I didn’t graduate from a top law school. What others saw as success, I saw as the depth of mediocrity and underperforming. So much of life is perspective. Find the place that helps you to expand your perspective. Some people look at you and see a failure no matter how many mountains you have climbed; others look at you and see a life worthy of imitating all of your shortcomings. Which view will you embrace? The one you choose will dictate your level of contentment as well as your ability to enjoy the good moments ahead of you. #perspective #hindsight #ownyourcareer #ownyourlife
