🔬"How do science and the world of research accomplish what they do? They need data to analyze. With #MyastheniaGravis (MG), there is only one place where researchers can find data to use in their models, and that is from us, the patients. As patients, we are lucky to have the dedication of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc. They are the stewards of the MG Registry, the repository of all the donated information regarding MG #PatientData." 🙏🏻Reflecting on Gratitude and Healthcare Access in Houston🙏🏻 As a Houstonian, I'm incredibly grateful for the world-class cancer prevention and treatment options available in our city. The Texas Medical Center is a beacon of hope for so many, offering cutting-edge research and top-notch care. But this gratitude comes with a sobering realization: not everyone has equal access to these life-saving resources. Many in our community and beyond face significant barriers due to financial constraints or lack of proper insurance coverage or transportation. We must do better. Here's how we can start: 📍Support local initiatives that provide free cancer screenings and education programs. 📍Advocate for policies that expand healthcare access and affordability. 📍KNOW your state representative and VOTE! 📍Volunteer at or donate to organizations that assist cancer patients with transportation, lodging, and other support services. Remember, prevention is always preferable to cure. I’m here to walk the talk! Let's work together to ensure everyone has the knowledge and resources to prioritize their health through regular check-ups, healthy lifestyle choices, and early detection screenings. By lifting up our entire community, we not only save lives but also create a more equitable and compassionate society. What steps will you take today to make a difference? #HealthcareEquity #CancerPrevention #HoustonStrong #Advocacy #Medicine #Leadership #Education

Treating children with clefts can be challenging. But digital technology helps to improve efficiency and safety for even the smallest of patients, like baby Lorenzo. To help build a brighter, healthier future for children affected by clefts, we’ve donated state-of-the-art technology and equipment to @SmileTrain. Compared with analog impression taking, intraoral scanners reduce choking risk, make treatment for children with clefts more comfortable and speed up clinical treatment time. ➡️ Click the link https://lnkd.in/ep6q9txx to discover more about how digitalization is transforming cleft treatment. #DentsplySirona #DSTakingAction #CleftPalate #OralHealth #ProudToBeDS

As someone who’s family has been impacted by ALS, Toronto Star, Janice Kennedy understands the importance of ALS Society of Canada community services and equipment. Working in concert with multi-disciplinary ALS clinics, these services are critical to the quality of life of a person living with ALS and their caregivers. The $6.6m investment in the Ontario Provinvial ALS Program is a fraction of the costs to the healthcare system when people end up in crisis in the hospital or must choose long-term care when they can’t safely stay in their home. We will continue to advocate to the Ontario government to implement this impactful, cost-effective solution to improve the quality of life for people affected by ALS. https://lnkd.in/gE5P9qh5
Thank you, Janice Kennedy, for sharing about your sister Sheila's experience living with ALS and the ongoing impact it has had on you. Together with the ALS community, we’ll continue to advocate to ensure the Ontario government implements our proposed solutions that will provide people living with ALS with a comprehensive continuum of care and a lifeline of hope and dignity. To read the full article, visit http://bit.ly/4gecuPU.
My sister was tireless. If ALS hadn’t claimed her life, I’m sure she’d be knocking on Doug Ford’s door

Maybe they should be shipped in any new CT and MR installation. If its an option as any cardiac or mammo package it would be implemented faster than as a different modality or just publicity in awards and news. Jonathan Coupland Not saying it should be free, am saying it should be easier to offer it or implementing it, because the Kitten Scanner have existed since more than 15 years, and yet just a few sites have them installed. As an unasked advice: This should be a mandatory item at installation time for the sake of the little ones, and of course it would be another great differential signature of #philipshealthcare
