Why do we need the system of systems? On July 19, we hosted a webinar to launch our recent Systems Lab publication - “Making value chain decarbonisation a scalable reality: Role of Scope 3 systems in enabling collective action and co-investments,” the first to propose a comprehensive systems framework to verify, track and claim Scope 3 emission reductions. It introduces a “system of systems”, which ensures integrity and credibility for Scope 3 accounting while enabling collaboration and co-investments. Thanks to Jeff Seale, Director of Environmental Strategy & Climate Policy at Regrow Ag, and Josiah McClellan, Head of Carbon Assets at Land O'Lakes, Inc. for joining the conversation. Read about their views on the system of systems and why they think it's going to be crucial to scaling collaboration and co-investment in the value chain ➝ https://lnkd.in/e8DVuCnc #valuechain #carbonemissions #scope3

What is a Supply Shed? 🌱 Supply Sheds are a vital component in creating sustainable food and agriculture value chains, helping to track and reduce emissions where raw materials are sourced and processed — even when there's no full traceability to farm-level. Understanding this concept helps companies scale up Scope 3 action across their value chains. 🌾 Our Food & Agriculture Working Group explores solutions to help companies navigate these complexities and ensure that mitigation outcomes are accurately credited. Read more about how to operationalise the Supply Shed concept in Food & Ag in our recent blog https://lnkd.in/dmhByCfn #NetZero #SupplyShed #Sustainability #ValueChain
