Marking my one year anniversary at Wiser with this picture 🕺 This pic (unfortunately isn't my work headshot), but represents a lot of emotions and lessons I've learnt in the past year... ✅ Say YES - to any opportunity that comes your way and seek out opportunities that align with your passions, it's great for personal and professional development. (P.S - this pic is a result of me saying yes to a test shoot for a client moodboard, and look how handy it's come in!) 🌟 Be REAL - your authenticity and personality is something no one else has, so spread the positive vibes and let your impact ripple through your team. 🗣 Speak UP - realise you have a unique point of view and may hold a perspective that other's don't, contribute to diversity of thought and help make an impact by questioning the status quo. 💭 Learn the lessons - if something doesn't go as planned, understand the learning from that situation. Nothing is perfect and can always be improved, it's knowing this which will keep you levelling up! I've done some incredible things, worked for amazing brands, and with fantastic people, so thank you to everyone who has helped shape my experience this year at Wiser. Looking forward to the next 🚀 What opportunity have you received as a result of saying yes? 👀 #professionaldevelopment #personalgrowth #workopportunities

When we’re growing, we won’t feel comfortable in our current environment. Growth means sometimes we must shed what we wore or surrounded ourselves with before, in order to step into something more fitting. What does that look like for you? New clothes? New job? New city? New friends? New skills? New habits? Whatever it might look like, make sure it helps you continue to grow. #ThursdayThoughts #growth #personalgrowth #thursday #JohnMaxwell #MaxwellLeadership

Unfortunately, I was among the people affected by the recent restructuring at Macy's. Over my 12 years with the company I have had the chance to connect with some great people, which is definitely what I will miss the most. Although this chapter is closing, I'm looking forward to seeing what the next brings. If any of my LinkedIn connections know of a company looking for an experienced investigator, please let me know! #openforwork #investigations #lossprevention #assetprotection #jobsearch

Today, work sent me a note to congratulate me on my 6 years at Cinchy. I wanted to take a minute to reflect on my experience. 🕘 Working for a start-up isn't for the faint of heart, but it is incredibly rewarding. I never underestimate the value of having a strong purpose that makes the work so much more fulfilling. Here are 3 things that I've taken away from my experience that I know will be applicable regardless of what I do. 1. Doing more with less. 🏋️ Early days you've got to get your hands dirty and figure things out. This is something that I've appreciated and believe it positions me to be flexible and puts me in a place to be creative to find ways to make things work. 2. Keeping an open mind to the way I work 👀 I get the privilege of working with so many great people who have done so many amazing things. These people bring in their vast experience and I have the pleasure of learning from them every day so I can refine our outcomes to be more effective and efficient. 3. The importance of relationships & early adopters 🤝 As a lesser-known brand facing numerous challenges, including political shifts, competing with "change" and vendor competition, I deeply value the trust our clients place in us, risking their reputations and careers. This is something I never take lightly and will hold these relationships for a very long time. Regardless of whatever the situation, I'll always be there to help. Thanks for taking the time to read my reflection.

I’m celebrating my 10-year anniversary with BB Imaging this week, and as I’ve reflected on my journey so far, I noticed some lessons I’ve learned that are worth sharing: Lesson #1: Leave toxic workplaces asap. I left a negative environment early in my career, realizing that if I got involved in interpersonal conflict, I would burn bridges, close off networks, and potentially end my career. Remember, your environment matters! Lesson #2: Work in a way that invites opportunity. Our CEO, Blanca Lesmes, personally convinced me to take a chance on a part-time role with professional development opportunities. I only got that call because I’d already built a solid reputation. How? I took several registries right out of school, even though they weren't required for my job. I scanned every patient as if they were a beloved relative. And I always listened to feedback. That earned the respect of peers, doctors, administrators—and landed me my next role. Lesson #3: Build your professionalism early. I did take the leap, scanning on a part-time basis and netting new clients during my lunch break. Before I knew it, I hadn’t only transitioned to full-time, but was hiring my replacements. And I wasn’t only looking for scanning skills. I was looking for people who could communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service. Lesson #4: Watch for your strengths. I’ll be honest, managing people was difficult for me, and I came to realize I was better at growing our customer base. By identifying that strength, I could see the value in pivoting to a career path that was more satisfying. So, I went back to school for a master’s degree in healthcare administration, which ultimately set me up for the role I hold now as our VP of Business Development. I’m excited to continue my journey with BB Imaging because I still have room to grow. (P.S. BB Imaging is always growing, and there’s room for you.) So, here’s to staying humble, continuing to learn, and confidently taking the next step.
