✨ Throwback to one of our standout projects in beautiful Remuera  ✨ A villa home that perfectly blends timeless charm with a sleek, modern contemporary touch. 🏡 Designing this space for a family was a true joy, and reflecting on the details brings so much pride. We worked with dark-stained oak veneer cabinetry, stunning Dekton benchtops, and oak timber floors that flow seamlessly through the living spaces. The gunmetal Italian tap-ware added that perfect touch of elegance, while the crisp Karen Walker Wan White walls created a clean, serene backdrop. 🤍 This project is a testament to how traditional architecture can be elevated for modern living, without losing its character. I’ve lived in #apartments in the Middle East, Asia and Melbourne. I’ve lived in them across most major #lifestages. Baby, kid, teen, adult, partner, parent - to name a few. So I guess you could say I know a fair bit about living in them… … all of which would be impossible for me to cram into a single LinkedIn post! 😅 So here is a video instead with 6 quick tips from my co-director Michael Smith and me on creating more #familyfriendly #apartments. (Also: We need to petition for an Apartment Emoji!) On a more serious note. What I have observed first-hand is that families lead very fulfilling lives in apartments - particularly when they are designed with their needs in mind. Being an Owner or Renter is immaterial to that experience. If we are serious about #housingdiversity and addressing our current #housingcrisis, Apartment designs need to be carefully considered to enable more people to see themselves making it their home.
