I'm always looking for new materials to play around with a particularly when it comes to wood. I love wood. I think it's a beautiful material that has sort of natural imperfections in it. But obviously there is, you know, a lot of sustainability and, you know, reusable resource concerns all around wood. So there are a whole lot of products nowadays that people are exploring that are either manufactured, engineered woods that attempt to give that same vibe and a much more sustainable and easy to manufacture or easy to control method. For example, this is really cool product that I just found that looks like a really nice piece of wood, but it's actually just a veneer. It's a a thin steel aluminum tube that they put this tiny thin piece of wood all around. But from a distance it looks absolutely fantastic. It would be great for paneling for screen elements, plus they can do all sorts of shapes with these. It's a really cool product and this is something that I just found that I think is, you know, probably going to be something I'll be using on my next project.
