Anderson MacGyver is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. We believe that the #individuals on our team are important in making impact. Therefore, we would like to reflect on the #personal achievements of some of our colleagues over the past decade. Today it is Erwin Hofman his turn to tell his story. He joined us in 2019 as a Management Consultant. "4 years ago I made the jump from working as an internal consultant at Allinq (a long-time client of Anderson MacGyver) to becoming an external consultant at Anderson MacGyver. I am one of the few people who have experienced Anderson MacGyver from both the client and employee perspective. As a client, I was impressed by the #professionalism and #dedication to achieve meaningful results. As an employee I am impressed that we combine that drive with a meaningful family atmosphere: looking out for and supporting each other. For me Anderson MacGyver is as place where I can: - Grow, take initiative, and share ideas. For example, presenting about ‘Data Modelling’ during our interactive Fridays, developing new IP on ‘designing a future-proof Tech landscape’, or (re)inventing our Project Approach - Have fun, whether it is going on our annual trip to Austria, making pizzas for my colleagues and partners at our annual BBQ, or just cracking jokes around the office - Make #impact with clients, solving complex problems, and building lasting relationships. For example, implementing Field Service Management at SPIE, rationalizing the IT landscape at VolkerWessels, or currently setting up the data architecture at TVH in Belgium - Make mistakes and learn from them, knowing that my colleagues always have my back. We have solutions for everything!
An amazing project started when our teams in business development at DSV - Global Transport and Logistics asked me to create content about who we are in the Netherlands and not what we are. Almost at the same time, Chantal of HR asked me to create a video to show to new employees during the introduction days. And last, but certainly not least, Patrick and Remco asked me mid February to create a video for the grand opening on April 4 of our new crossdivisional campus in Venlo. A challenge was born.... A challenge in which we received (again) the amazing support of our creative partner Capture Rebels. Thank you very, very much Bart, Mitchell, Richard, Craig, Viona and Ivy 🐾 for your great creativity, perseverance and humor. We truly did this together 👊 and created the video below of which all experts will say that its way too long for this platform, but this post is about pride and not about views 😉. But there is no movie without a cast. And I am lucky to have amazing colleagues who step out of their comfort zone and perform as professional actors. BLOWING MY OWN HORN! (because we need to celebrate our own success as well as others) Since April I'm hosting the first day Orientation Session for all new Volvo Cars employees in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Lund. The session is live at the west coast HQ and streamed to the other sites. I've developed the session to fit the remote format and during 1h15m I walk the new joiners through the company history focusing on safety innovations. I present our current state, corporate and product portfolio and we look into the future. And lastly I introduce them to our Blueprint, the why and how of our operations. The session ends with a practical info session before IT takes over. I've added interactive parts to this presentation to make it easier to stay engaged and active and also as a way for me to see how I'm doing. These include a small chat, a Q&A with a colleague and some polls. The sessions starts with the question "How are you doing?" to let everyone state the mood or vibe of the day. The sessions ends with the question "How are you doing now?" and I think the difference between the answers to these polls say a lot of the journey that the Orientation Session is. The new employees start off quiet but excited and at the end they are talkative, energized and ready to go. I'll share the results of this weeks final question and challenge you to ask your audience how they feel after presentations. It will help you stay on track and guide you forward.
