PFA atrial fibrillation ablation, using the pentaspline PFA catheter (Farawave, Farapulse-Boston Scientific , is SAFE! The results of MANIFEST-17K study, recently published in Nature Medicine, are indeed very impressive. The co-authors should be congratulated for tediously pooling together retrospective real-world data from 106 centers in 20 countries regarding 17,642 treated patients. This is clearly the largest PFA study so far. We need however to wait cautiously for long-term clinical outcome in order to be convinced that we’re positively benefiting the patients. https://lnkd.in/dszec8yq

Currently undertaking a Master's degree in Regulatory Affairs at Northeastern University; eagerly seeking a Co-Op opportunity to utilize my developing expertise and expand my practical abilities.
"Publication in International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews (IJRAR)" "I am delighted to share that my project titled 'Pattern of Use of SGLT2 Inhibitors In Patient With Chronic Heart Failure In A Tertiary Care Hospital In South India 2021-22' has been published in the International Journal of Research and Analytical Reviews (IJRAR), Volume 10, Issue 2. This project was a Prospective Observational study conducted at the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) hospital in Secunderabad, India, with a sample size of 103 adult patients. The study aimed to assess the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of SGLT2 inhibitors in chronic heart failure, as well as their impact on patient symptoms and quality of life. The key findings of the study included: 1. SGLT2 inhibitors, such as empagliflozin and dapagliflozin, showed positive results in heart failure management, with an improvement in ejection fraction observed during the study. 2. The chances of adverse effects like urinary tract infections, urogenital infections, and nausea occurring were low. 3. The study concluded that heart failure patients, regardless of their diabetes status, can be prescribed SGLT2 inhibitors. This project was a joint effort with my classmate soma shekar, conducted during our #Pharm.D. studies. It has provided us the valuable insights into the use of SGLT2 inhibitors in the Indian population, contributing to the existing body of knowledge in this field. #PharmD #Doctorofpharmacy #ClinicalResearch #Project #SGLT2Inhibitors #Publications

There are wide ranges of homoeopathic medicine for menorrhagia but lesser known medicine selected on the basis of uncommon, peculiar, rare symptoms. Lesser known medicine which is not used in day to day clinical practice because this medicine had few symptoms recorded through drug proving. This medicine is indicated towards a few specific conditions. Many homoeopaths in our fraternity are not aware of this lesser known medicine due to lack in literature and clinical use 1 . This study is to search for lesser known medicine as present our materia medica. by Dr. Munjal Thakkar | Dr. Divya Gamit "Efficacy of Lesser Known Homoeopathic Medicine in the Treatment of Menorrhagia: A Case Report of Aletris Farinosa" Published in International Journal of Trend in Scientific Research and Development (ijtsrd), ISSN: 2456-6470, Volume-7 | Issue-6 , December 2023, URL: https://lnkd.in/dcWTs-2K Paper Url: https://lnkd.in/dRKChqyw

#Review Recent Advances in Biosensor Technologies for Point-of-Care Urinalysis by Chuljin Hwang, et al. https://lnkd.in/eqPMvEPM MDPI Ajou University #urinesensor #pointofcareurinalysis #clinicalapplication #dipsticktest #biosensors #openaccess #Abstract Human urine samples are non-invasive, readily available, and contain several components that can provide useful indicators of the health status of patients. Hence, urine is a desirable and important template to aid in the diagnosis of common clinical conditions. Conventional methods such as dipstick tests, urine culture, and urine microscopy are commonly used for urinalysis. Among them, the dipstick test is undoubtedly the most popular owing to its ease of use, low cost, and quick response. Despite these advantages, the dipstick test has limitations in terms of sensitivity, selectivity, reusability, and quantitative evaluation of diseases. Various biosensor technologies give it the potential for being developed into point-of-care (POC) applications by overcoming these limitations of the dipstick test. Here, we present a review of the biosensor technologies available to identify urine-based biomarkers that are typically detected by the dipstick test and discuss the present limitations and challenges that future development for their translation into POC applications for urinalysis.

🎉 Exciting News! Our groundbreaking study on knee osteoarthritis management has been published! 🦵💉 https://lnkd.in/dcNekZNC I'm thrilled to share that our research comparing isometric quadriceps training, glucosamine, and chondroitin sulphate iontophoresis for knee osteoarthritis has been published in the European Journal of Medical and Health Research. As one of the authors, I'm particularly proud of how this study advances the field of pharmacophysiotherapy - an innovative subspecialty combining pharmacology and physiotherapy techniques. This approach holds immense potential for enhancing patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs. Some key findings: • All three interventions significantly reduced pain and improved function • Quadriceps strengthening showed the highest efficacy overall • Iontophoresis delivery of glucosamine and chondroitin proved effective This research exemplifies how we can leverage interdisciplinary approaches to tackle complex health challenges. I'm excited to continue exploring how pharmacophysiotherapy can contribute to public health and health economics. Huge thanks to my brilliant co-authors: K. Lasisi, Prof. Ayodele Onigbinde, S.C.
