The marriage of form and function in skate shoes has inspired brands to create sneakers that not only look cool but also provide the necessary support and durability for high-impact activities. Think about the iconic silhouettes like the Nike SB Dunk or the Vans Old Skool – these shoes are the perfect blend of style and performance, thanks to their roots in skateboarding.

When We are Skateboarding in Functional and Urban Jacket
Discover the benefits of wearing a high breathability, low ret jacket while skateboarding in the city. Stay waterproof, stretchable, and chill-free in this stylish gear!
As skateboarding continues to grow in popularity, skaters are always on the lookout for functional and stylish gear to enhance their performance on the streets. One essential piece of clothing that can make a world of difference is a high breathability, low ret jacket. In this article, we will explore the advantages of wearing such a jacket while skateboarding in an urban setting.
The Benefits of a High Breathability Low Ret Jacket
When we skate in a functional and urban jacket, we can expect top-notch performance and comfort. The high breathability of the jacket allows for optimal cooling and keeping us dry even during intense skate sessions. The low RET design ensures that moisture is quickly wicked away from the body.
Stay Waterproof and Stretchable
One of the key features of a high-quality jacket for skateboarding is its waterproof capability. This means that even if we encounter unexpected rain showers while out on the streets, our jacket will keep us dry and protected. Additionally, the stretchable material of the jacket allows for freedom of movement, making it easy to perform tricks and maneuvers without any restrictions.
Feel Chill and Free
When we are skateboarding in a functional and urban jacket, we not only look stylish but also feel chill and free. The lightweight design of the jacket allows for easy mobility, while the urban aesthetic adds a touch of street cred to our look. With the right gear, we can confidently navigate the urban landscape and showcase our skills with ease.
In conclusion, this essential piece of clothing is a must-have for any urban skater. So next time you hit the streets on your board, make sure to gear up with a jacket that not only looks good but also enhances your performance on the pavement. Stay cool, stay dry, and most importantly, stay stylish with the right gear for the job.

Para-Equestrian Logo. should we have one?
Hi Everyone,
Hello there! This is the LegUpAbility channel. Yesterday, we asked our followers on Instagram whether they think there is a need for a universal logo for Para-Equestrian. For those who are not familiar, Para-Equestrian is a discipline that allows riders with disabilities to compete in equestrian sports. As the Para-Equestrian community is expanding, we want to explore the possibility of having a logo that represents us all.
In today's video, we will discuss the advantages of having a universal logo for Para-Equestrians. Would it increase our visibility and help us feel more connected as a community? We will also talk about the challenges of designing such a logo and what it should symbolize. Ultimately, the decision of whether we need a universal logo or not will be based on the community's feedback.
Thank you for watching, and we hope you enjoy the discussion.

Adrenaline building.
I remember that period very well; I was also an enthusiast of this novelty, which then became almost a lifestyle, a culture, and now, undoubtedly, a matter of fashion.
Aggressive skating emerged in the 1990s as a flashier, niche style of roller skating. Like other ’90s trends, it has resurfaced once again.
This isn't the first time we've encountered an initiative of this kind bridging architecture, interior design, and community-building, but this time we're not stopping at the allure of skateboarding.
F51, located in Kent, England, is the world's first multi-level skatepark, nicknamed the adrenaline building. It's a three-story structure that includes a boxing gym and a climbing wall in addition to the skatepark.
Situated in the heart of the Creative Quarter of the maritime community, the skatepark designed by Maverick has replaced an existing facility with a new multi-level experience that allows users to utilize the space in an ascending manner, increasing intensity as their skills develop.
Commissioned by the local Roger De Haan Charitable Trust, it was created to provide the youth of the area with "the freedom and opportunity to push both physical and mental limits within a safe space away from screens."
🙌 Curious about the intersection of architecture, interior design, and community-building?

Camaraderie, culture and accomplishment. This is the new Nike x Patta Running Team Collection.
👑 As shared by Kyle Knudsen and Sebastian Niemeyer, Nike and Patta Exclusive Sneakers BV. have collaborated on a performance apparel collection that tapped into the Patta Running Team community, and highlighted Patta’s cofounder Edson Sabajo love and passion for running.
🏃♂️The Patta Running Team started in 2010 in Amsterdam with a powerful vision: to bring together friends, family, and running enthusiasts alike. So, what started as creatives and casual local runners, is currently a movement based on individuals from various backgrounds, encompassing different running paces and intensities who explore new places together and, above all, have fun.
👀 The collection was spotted in the NBA, in Milan during the Design Week and at the London Marathon highlighting the trend that there are blurred borders between running and fashion.
🌎 Thinking local is no longer separate from a global strategy mindset. As written by Gemma Jones on MediaCat Magazine, many brands are now embracing city-based strategies as a new way to increase authenticity.
⚡️⚡️⚡️Takeaway: we are reaching fever-pitch levels of run-mania. According to Strava, running is the most popular sport and the share of athletes uploading runs increased by 4%. In this scenario, running clubs are today’s biggest driver due to their approach focused on creating IRL communities with events and cool custom apparel.
As shared by Harry Salmons, running is the new streetwear due to many values in common.

Can you skate pre-loved?
When developing this campaign we were inspired by the short video series produced by Jenkem called ''Can It Skate'' where skaters used unorthodox shoes to skate on. From the Yeezy 350 to Gucci Loafers. When thinking of skateboarding and sneakers, style plays a secondary role. First and foremost the sneakers of choice must be good for skateboarding. Usually these skate shoes don't enjoy a very long life, because of the nature of the activity. This is one of the reasons Nike launched the Nike SB Dunk Low Parra, featuring tear-away uppers.
So the question arises: ''why invest a lot of money into shoes that are bound to be destroyed in a matter of weeks?''
This is why we came up with the campaign ''Can you skate pre-loved?'' Pre-loved skateboarding shoes enable you to save money while still being able to skate properly. Besides, it's better for the planet!
So Vans, what do you think? Wanna take this to the next level? You know where to find us!

Impact Magazine has unique style for reviewing shoes!
This Calgary, Canada based Sport magazine, is using a group of real world testers, athletes who are independent from the reviewer and are not associated with any podcast, retailers or brands! (we have had review sites say no to even doing a review of the shoe? - new brand, lack of curiosity, ego?)
There were 31 shoes reviewed and shoes from large brands, New Balance FuelCell Super Comp Elite ($329.99 all in CAD), Altra Experience Flow ($180), Brooks Glycerin 21 ($200- one of my fav shoes), Hoka Skyward X ($280), Adidas Supernova ($180- I worked on the first Supernova early 90's)
that received 5/5 ratings for their women's shoes from the test group ... oh and a new brand that I am proud to partner with, make the shoes, and support the founder, Lindsay Housman with her amazing project- the HETTAS Alma Tempo ($238) also received a 5/5, which for a new shoe brand, dedicated to only female athletes, against the R&D $ power of these large players, is a very good result.
The fact that our review was by Dr. Syl Corbett- the owner of www.rockonclay.com, a natural, post run/athletic event recovery product- (worth your review and purchase) and who was a coach/trainer to Hall of Fame Canadian Hockey player, Hayley Wickenheiser, was really cool to read!
Hettas has taken the proper steps, start with run studies with a diverse group of runners, do the in lab testing- SFU Weartech Labs w/ Dr. Chris Napier, who has supported Canada's Olympic teams and athletes, doing rounds of testing for fit and function and then running fit and function trials a few more times and building a product that properly fits many female runners and offers versions for the different types of road running many need and deciding sell it through Specialist Run shops (and @ www.hettas.com)
The fit is our pride, but one we are always working to perfect, two insoles of varying height and polymers for adjustable fits and rides, the Super Critical midsole, the light CPU outsoles and a patent pending Pebax plate, all intended to get reviews like the one from IMPACT Magazine, and hearing from many user run reviews we get sent back from our brand adopters, on making a difference in their running.
Supporting a start-up is never easy, capital is challenging to raise in this market, but doing the best shoe possible with leading edge tech, and truly listening to female runners needs, makes it worth the time and effort.
It's time that Capital investors and Athletes lean-in to support and invest in brands making real efforts to care about the female athlete with sport products that make their activity more enjoyable!
It is never without stress in a startup, but it is also possible to go beyond big brand restrictions and do things differently and more tailored to a segment.
