Here is the video illustrating my poem, "Old Glory".
"Old Glory" should grab every American's heart ... as it is a constant, proud ... reminder of an ... iconic flag ... cherished by every generation of our beloved USA ... since July 4, 1776!

Yesterday was Memorial Day, a time to honor and remember those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. This day always makes me pause and think about the values of dedication, commitment, and integrity that these heroes embodied. As a professional, I find myself deeply inspired by these values. How can we incorporate such unwavering dedication into our daily work? How can we ensure that we are committed to justice and integrity in every case we handle? For me, Memorial Day is not just a day of remembrance, but also a reminder to strive for excellence in all we do. It’s a call to honor those values in our own lives and professions. I’d love to hear your thoughts. How does Memorial Day inspire you in your professional journey? #MemorialDay #Reflection #Values #Dedication #Integrity

I have not clinically died, nor have I been run over by a snowplow, but this guy has! I encourage you all to watch until the end, because the message is not "everyone needs to run super fast/far" nor is the message "you need to push yourself to the absolute limit". Brooks has taken the stance that everyone has that moment where you no longer are the best, or the top, or as good as you'd like to be, AND THATS OK, as long as you're taking the next step towards wherever you want to get to, that's a win. I recently took my annual Physical Fitness Test for the Marines, one of two tests every Marine is required to complete (and pass) annually. I was (and still am) very disappointed with my performance but after feeling sorry for myself for a few hours (yes hours), I reminded myself that I could do something about it, and set to building my plan to achieve my goal score next time. What are your goals, do you have a plan to get there? #resilience #goals #Marines #planning

First teaching in a brand new series on the life of Samson. This morning we learn about Samson's calling and how placing his eyes in the wrong place robbed him of fulfilling that calling, leaving a legacy of failure and destruction that impacted his people. This is a lesson in how not to live for the Lord. https://lnkd.in/g-QzRsiK

Did you know?..."The first daytime parade in New Orleans took place in 1872, and as the Russian Grand Duke Alexis Romanoff was visiting at the time, it was decided to use the Romanoff family colours of purple, green and gold as the official colors of the Carnival. Purple stands for justice; gold for power; and green for faith." Learn more about the history of #MardiGras at https://lnkd.in/eeGgK3QK
