Over the last four years, I've donated my hair twice to support cancer patients. Each time, I’ve been reminded of the power of small actions in making a significant impact. Why I Do It: Restoring Confidence:A wig can truly help someone feel like themselves again during a challenging time. Empathy is what makes us human. Giving is what makes us thrive. No matter where we come from, we all share something powerful—the ability to care for others. Well, Cactus Cancer Society has a critical update for you! Our Art Workshops are filling up faster than ever, sometimes within minutes. We have a growing waitlist of young adults who are being turned away from the programs they want to join. We know you agree – placing young adults facing the darkest, loneliest days of their lives on the waitlist simply isn’t good enough. We are urgently seeking help funding additional Art Workshops. Before the close of our fiscal year at midnight on June 30th, we need to reach our $8,250 goal. It’s no small ask, but we need to provide 165 additional spaces to meet the increased demand for our Art Workshops in support of young adults as they navigate cancer. Cactus Cancer Society’s workshops foster connection, relieve isolation, and will always be FREE to young adults experiencing a cancer diagnosis. Time is running out!
