Day 6 Highlights: Unveiling the Client-Server Landscape 🌐💼 Thrilled to share insights on Day 6 of my ExLearn Technologies training with Prashant Gavate! The session was all about delving into the world of client-server architecture, and I'm thrilled to have gained a deeper understanding of this fundamental concept in software development. Key Takeaways: 🖥️ Client Side: End user, Initiates requests to a server or remote system. 🛠️ Server Components: Server: Responds to client requests. Big Machine: Equipped with RAM, CPU, OS, and storage for specific use cases. 🚀 Server Types: Application, Database, Game, Web Servers. 🖥️ Operating Systems: Intermediaries managing system resources. 🔍 Virtualization: Enables using another OS without removing the current one. 🔄 Hypervisors: Type 1/Bare Metal and Type 2. Excited to delve into the intricacies of the client-server model! 🌐🚀 #cloudwithexlearn #cloudtraining #45daysofcloud

Performance Tip 💡 If you use react and working with large datasets, optimising your rendering performance with React Virtualized can drastically improve your performace. This powerful library implements virtualization techniques, allowing you to render only the visible portions of your data efficiently. Instead of rendering an entire collection at once, React Virtualized dynamically loads and unloads components as the user scrolls, significantly improving performance and reducing memory usage. It's particularly useful for long lists, grids, or tables with thousands of rows. By rendering only what's in view, you can create smooth, responsive interfaces even when dealing with massive datasets.

Dear Friends ZOMBIE FILES DELETION 1. ZOMBIE files are files that have been left in the vSphere environment due to a number of potential operations. They are typically no longer used or required and may only consume disk space if not addressed. 2. In most cases a large file (.vmdk) can be left on the datastore if a VM has had the ‘remove from inventory’ option selected instead of the ‘delete from disk’ option. 3. In the majority of cases, these can be removed safely. IMPLEMENTATION STEPS 1.Review the output of the RVTools Report Health Tab. 2.Find the relevant files on the appropriate datastore by Browse Datastore. 3.Confirm that the files are no longer in use or required. 4. Delete the files from the datastore. NOTE: If a file is in fact in use from within VMware, an error message will appear when attempting to delete it stating that it is in use and it will not be able to be deleted.

What Happens When a Snapshot is Taken in VMware ?🤔 1. Snapshot : You click "Take Snapshot" in your virtual machine management tool like VMware 2. VM Freeze: The VM temporarily pauses to capture its current state. This ensures no data is missed. 3. Snapshot Files Are Created: The system creates several files to manage the snapshot. i) .vmsn file: This file stores the VM's memory state at the time of the snapshot. It captures what’s currently in the memory (RAM), so you can return the VM to the exact moment when the snapshot was taken. ii) .vmsd file: This file keeps metadata about the snapshot. It contains information like the snapshot name, description, and the location of related files. iii)Child .vmdk files: A new delta disk file is created. This is a special type of virtual disk file (.vmdk), which tracks any changes made after the snapshot is taken. 4. VM Unfreezes: Once the snapshot is taken, the VM continues running as normal, but now the system is recording all changes in the new child disk (instead of modifying the original disk). The reason the VM creates a new .vmdk file after taking a snapshot is to preserve the original disk state #Vmware #vShpere #vCenter #ESXi

Seamless AND Flawless Ethernet connectivity for remote sharing of SAS Tape drives and Tape Libraries using iSCSI protocol. Two Thumbs Up! https://lnkd.in/ejnMzEKs #performance #tape #SAS #backup #archive #ethernet #iscsi #tapelibraries #XstreamCORE #virtualization #connectivity #ATTO Technology
I didn't know you could do that - connect SAS tape to iSCSI! Probably the number one statement I hear from backup / archive architects. For so long, they just built out another server or added a dedicated VM server with little regards to thinking differently. Well, I'm here to tell everyone again - time to think different. Simple to use, ATTO XstreamCORE bridging appliances make connectivity much simpler to set up, scale up and share tape libraries on an ethernet network. There is no extra servers, no booting, no OS updates and no server maintenance - simply plug it into your Iscsi ethernet and go. Oh, and these ATTO bridges are less than 48 watts - sure saves on your energy budgets vs servers. Think about in VM environments where your backups can now be easily managed and migrated to any VM. And because it is Ethernet based, you are no longer limited to SAS distances - move your tape to another cabinet, or another room. Now, that's flexibility! Two different models: XstreamCORE 8200T - Up to 16 SAS Tape Drives XstreamCORE 8100T - Up to 4 SAS Tape Drives click here for more. https://lnkd.in/ejnMzEKs #performance #tape #SAS #backup #archive #ethernet #iscsi #tapelibraries #XstreamCORE #virtualization #connectivity #HPE #IBM #Quantum #Spectralogic #Dell #Overland #Activearchive ATTO Technology, Inc.
