The Importance of Mobile Broadband Communication in Disaster Situations In December 2021, Western Kentucky was hit by a series of the deadliest and most devastating tornadoes ever recorded in the state's history. The extent of the disaster was only matched by the heroic response from the state and federal governments, who promptly approved an emergency disaster declaration to mobilize resources for quick response and recovery. During the response and recovery phase, 11 Plum Cases were deployed to keep first responders connected, aiding the rebuilding of Kentucky.
