📢 WCL Champions Youth Empowerment: Transforming Futures through Skill Development Initiatives 📢 Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has taken a significant step forward in empowering youth and enhancing employability through skill development! 🌟 Recently, WCL has signed MoUs as part of their commitment to #CorporateSocialResponsibility (CSR) and align with the Government of India's vision to skill the youth and boost employability. 1️⃣ MoU with CIPET: WCL, in collaboration with CIPET, will provide skill development training in plastic engineering trades across Chandrapur, Yavatmal, and Nagpur districts in Maharashtra, as well as Chhindwara and Betul districts in Madhya Pradesh. The goal is to attract 225 participants, creating job opportunities and building a skilled workforce. 2️⃣ MoU with FDDI: We have also partnered with FDDI to offer short-term certificate courses in retail and fashion merchandise, and footwear design and production. These programs, conducted at the FDDI Chhindwara campus, aim to engage unemployed youth aged 18 to 35 years, targeting 110 participants. 3️⃣ MoU with IMT: In addition to these, WCL has signed an MoU with the Institute of Management Technology for corporate training of its executives, ensuring continuous professional development and excellence within the organization. Academic as a profession, is regarded as a very novel profession, and academicians share the responsibilities of shaping students’ lives therefore, having great communication skills becomes a fundamental aspect of this profession. I recently conducted a three-hour Faculty Development Programme (FDP) session on the theme ‘communication for academicians’ at the Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur (IIM-S). The participants were associated with the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), the second-oldest university in the field of agriculture, in India. Every passing moment makes us old, yet it brings a certain newness to our lives... And the boy who once was starting his classes in playgroup, will be starting his classes in college in just a few days, fifteen years passed just in the blink of an eye... And irrespective of how my life previously was or went by; when I look back, I do get a smile of satisfaction and contentment... Yet a regret still persist; that why did I not put on any marker as to remember my first day of playgroup, maybe the whole idea of keeping a materialistic marker didn't exist beforehand... Thus whatsoever, I type this entire post, keeping in mind the idea that; in next four or five or six years when I complete another milestone of my life.... I don't look back in regret, and say I wish I had put a marker when I started my college... Thus I start my career in IT engineering with a lot of excitement, and also lots of aspiration of maybe landing up in a notable position in the IT sector...
