My internship took an unexpected turn when… A few years back, during my internship days at Leo Burnett in client services, my manager tasked me with reviewing a presentation template. They asked me to check for errors and improve it. The template itself seemed a bit dated, so I went beyond basic proofreading and started revamping the design, including changing the color scheme. Confident in my work, I submitted the revised presentation. Days passed without feedback, and I finally reached out to my manager for their thoughts. It was then that I learned that completely changing the template theme wasn't the intention. This experience highlighted the importance of clear communication. While I aimed to improve the presentation, a lack of specific direction led to additional work on both ends. The key takeaway: Always clarify expectations, especially when working on a new task or project. #Communication #MyStory #Internship

I was shocked when I read this statistic 😱 What surprised me the most was that no one had told me this before. Throughout my first 2 years studying fashion at Uni I always knew I needed to get experience in the industry. But 90% of the internships I found were unpaid 🙃 + They were either in London or Manchester. Meaning I would have to relocate to a more expensive city. When I was researching unpaid internships for this post I stumbled on some surprising data. → Creatives who took an unpaid internship were more likely to be paid LESS in their first role compared to creatives who had no experience Even though unpaid internships are illegal, they still make up a big proportion of work experience in the creative industries. What are your thoughts on unpaid internships in 2024? Are they worth it? #creativecareers #internship #newgraduates #creativeindustry

Never do this during a video editing Internship Think internships are easy? Think again! They're not just about free coffee and making copies. It's about hustling, learning, and proving yourself. Here are the dealbreakers that could turn your dream internship into a nightmare: 1. Hitting "Render" Before Feedback Do you think your edit is a masterpiece? Wait! Get feedback first. Remember, even the best editors get feedback. It's not about ego, it's about polishing your skills and creating something truly exceptional. 2. "I Don't Know" as Your Catchphrase Don't be afraid to ask questions! It's better to learn now than fumble later. Plus, it shows initiative and a thirst for knowledge. 3. The "Yes, Sir" Syndrome Don't just blindly follow instructions. Ask questions, propose creative solutions, and express your ideas. Remember, your internship is about learning and growing, not just completing tasks. Bonus Tip: Be proactive! Offer to help with other tasks, suggest creative ideas, and show your enthusiasm. You'll leave a lasting impression and stand out from the crowd. PS: Your internship is a stepping stone, not a slip 'n slide. #internship #interns #videoediting #videoeditors

I am delighted to share that I have completed my three-month internship at RV Rising Entertainment. As my internship comes to a close, I reflect on an enriching experience that has significantly contributed to my professional and personal growth. Working as a content writing intern, my primary responsibility was to craft news articles for the organization’s website. This role has not only kept me informed about current national and international events but has also honed my ability to work within a structured routine and manage my time efficiently. Throughout my internship, I gained valuable insights into the field of journalism and content creation. One key lesson was understanding how language and inherent biases in a piece of writing can shape a reader's perception. Secondly, I learned that relying solely on headlines for information can be misleading, as headlines are designed to be catchy and engaging but are constrained by space limitations. Crafting an effective headline is a delicate balance between attracting readers and conveying the essence of the article. Moreover, I discovered the importance of thorough research and verification. The prevalence of misinformation online has underscored the necessity of consulting reliable sources to ensure content accuracy. Finally, my time at RV Rising Entertainment has been a significant milestone in my professional journey. As an aspiring psychologist, the professional skills I developed during this internship, including critical thinking, precise communication, and diligent research are universally valuable and will undoubtedly benefit me in any future endeavors. #internship

Did you know that Jolos offers internships? 🙈 Since 2023, Jolos has created a different kind of internship program that benefits everyone. Four interns have the opportunity for 3 months to gain a unique insight into the life of a creative agency and acquire real hands-on experience in event marketing. What makes Jolos internship different from others? 🤔 "We strongly believe that it's important to combine practical experience with theoretical knowledge, understanding why we do things a certain way,” says the program leader and project manager Taavi Tõnnison Jolos internship program takes the interns in three different directions: - Production - which focuses on bringing together the concept of the event with all of its components - Creative - which focuses on the creation of the concept of the event - Brand Team - which focuses mostly on all of the graphic and design parts of the event After the initial division of directions, we map out the necessary basic knowledge, which includes five theory lectures with homework to see how well interns understand the topic at hand. The internship ends with a final exam, where interns are tested and must show what they have learned and how they would organise an event themselves. 🎓 To pass the exam successfully, a comprehensive creative solution, a budget, CVI, and production materials (technical schedule, program, list of partners, team mapping) must be created and presented to the Jolos team. To find interns we, look for enthusiastic young people through the magic and power of social media. 🔍 Previous years have shown to be super successful with more than 60 candidates. 🎉 When making the decision previous experience isn’t the most important. What counts is the candidate's courage, diligence, and initiative to adapt to agency life. “We definitely want to continue with this program because it also makes us better as an agency in involving and teaching interns," Taavi 💡 If you could be an intern in Jolos, what would you like to learn about? 🤔 #jolos #agency #careers

I can't understand the concept of unpaid internship I am doing all my work with 100% efficiency and efforts and getting 0 in return there's no one to guide, no one to teach. If I have to do all these all alone why I am not getting paid? #corporate #internships #media #pr #unpaid #internship #socialmedia #social #marketing
