How I Scaled an eCommerce Brand from $72k/mo to $100k/mo in 20 Days 🧵 Over the last few weeks, I've had the privilege of working with an eCommerce brand that was hitting a plateau at $72k per month. Their desire was to break through to the $100k mark, and I'm thrilled to share the strategies that led to this remarkable 20-day transformation. When I conducted an in-depth audit of their ad account, it was apparent that clutter was stifling their performance. With over 10-15 active campaigns, we streamlined their approach. By optimizing the ad account, we turned off non-performing campaigns and focused on just 4 active campaigns. The result? A staggering 20% performance boost in just one week. Creatives are the cornerstone of any successful ad campaign. In the case of this brand, only one creative was driving the majority of their sales. However, there was no established process or SOPs for creative development and testing. During the ad account audit, we uncovered two winning creatives from the past 6 months that had been forgotten. Ecom brands that HATE money, do these things. (fix these issues today). 👉🏻 Selling the product NOT the solution in Top of Funnel marketing. A clear sign of someone who hates money. Users don’t care about your “patent” or “studies” (at first). These are great objection handlers, but if you want to grab someones attention then start by speaking to their pain points. Then use your product to bridge the gap from their current situation, to their desired one. 👉🏻 Not testing or optimising landing pages. If you have clients coming from ads and landing on unoptimised Shopify theme product pages, you probably hate money. You should be testing new landing pages every month, from advertorials, and listicles to product squeeze pages. 👉🏻 No continuity at different stages of the funnel. If your ad creative, post-click landing pages and emails aren't all synchronised with continuity on messaging and branding, then you probably hate money. 👉🏻 Stressing over "perfect brand" ad creative. If you'd rather have 3 x perfect pieces of creative than 10 x good pieces of creative, then you probably hate money. Volume, speed and iteration are key when scaling ad spend aggressively. With Meta attributing 47% of the bidding outcome to creative, you need consistent output, paired with rigorous testing systems. 👉🏻 Worrying about "brand" when you're earning >10M in ARR. If you think your public image is more important than sales and profit, you probably hate money. If you aren't a household name, you can get away with more than you think. PS. I audited a haircare brand today and I can see a lot of missed opportunities ↓ 1️⃣ Audience From their ad comments, we can identify the majority of customer problems and the sad thing is ↓ The brand hasn't used that part yet to address the strong points. They failed to speak to one audience with a huge potential to increase sales. PS: Never ignore your ad comments. They can be a goldmine of ideas to address and social proofs. 2️⃣ Offer communication Though they have a Money-Back guarantee, there is a - lack of trust - high pricing issue even with amazing 1500+ reviews. However, the creatives and messaging did not convince the customer on the pricing point which could have been done with ↓ - Customer Review - Brand comparison 3️⃣ No proper creative testing I was shocked to see no dedicated creative testing campaign. I can notice different versions of creatives but - instead of testing one element at a time, multiple elements were being tested which failed to analyze the performance. - There is a clear winner but no iterations were made on that. - No video ads. Only statics. → Takeaways: A few things were tested but just for a short time. And they did not validate that by doing iterations. PS: Don't base your decisions on just 2 days of testing. Best Buy has unveiled a brand refresh inclusive of a new brand character, refreshed color palette and tagline entitled “imagine that.,” according to details shared with Marketing Dive.
