Which pharma company is the most digitally present in Belgium? According to the 'Worldcom Pharma Digital Monitor 2024', Janssen (part of J&J) pays tribute to its local heritage also online, demonstrating the most extensive digital presence to interact with the general public across channels (e.g. website, blogs, social media) in Belgium. Together with further international pharma leaders, another Belgian front-runner shows up high in the ranking, namely UCB. On the other side of the spectrum, a relatively large number of pharmaceutical companies limits their digital presence to their website without being actively present on social media etc. What is holding some companies back from broader channel use: - Regulatory hurdles in direct-to-patient interaction? - Restricted cross-affiliate support and technical backbone to locally build-out their digital presence? - Challenges in continued content generation and limited applicable global input to be leveraged? - Absence of or limited experience with AI tools for channel orchestration? - Potentially limited expected return on investments in further channels or social media campaigns? - What else?
