Today, is #MLK DAY and while it is mostly celebrated in the U.S., Dr. King’s vision of equality and justice transcends borders and remains relevant to us all. His words continue to inspire me to contribute to a society where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of background. As I reflect on his legacy, I’ve also been navigating the DEI debate in the media and I'm sure we've all been witnessing shifts in how organisations approach DEI initiatives. After making bold commitments in the wake of social justice movements, some organisations are scaling back or even de-investing in DEI efforts, citing economic pressures or shifting due to political landscapes. A couple of questions to ask ourselves What future are we creating for our business? Are we moving backward in our pursuit of equality, or are we doubling down on Dr. King’s dream of a just and inclusive society?
