Our study, in partnership with sustainability experts Ramboll, showed it only takes 95 days from installation, to offset the embodied carbon of our mineral wool insulation. Based on Knauf Insulation’s 2022 sales, the total benefit across Europe equates to 3.6 million tonnes of operational carbon saved annually. That’s comparable to the carbon saving of 163 million trees or removing 2.5 million cars every year from European roads. Whilst making a huge positive contribution to buildings’ operational carbon, glass mineral wool has also the lowest embodied carbon of all mainstream insulants – by installing our high performance low carbon insulation, you can minimize your buildings’ whole life carbon FOR A BETTER WORLD.
