📢 The future of energy efficiency lies in retrofitting our homes! 🏠 To meet climate goals by 2050, we need to retrofit roughly 90% of existing housing. This massive task brings a significant opportunity for advanced building construction techniques, making homes cleaner and construction methods more efficient. Our new report, funded by the DOE's Advanced Building Construction Collaborative, provides a detailed state-by-state analysis and pathways to reduce pollution from US homes by 2050. One big area for improvement is bringing ducts in condition space, there are conservatively 21 million existing homes with ducts in attics, and we still allow them to be built this way today with our current building code. Let's tackle that and we can easily save 30% off the top.
